Looking towards the position his secretary had stood, Ranma nodded his head. All seemed to be going well for now. He’d taken care of the immediate threats to his power and rule, or at least set up contingency to take care of them... he’d cursed himself for his moments of weakness but he really did enjoy that nice warm and fuzzy feeling he got by helping Tomoe-san.
What the hell was wrong with him?
Shaking his head, Ranma knew he needed to get his act together. It wasn’t befitting of a Dark Lord of his stature to be soft and caring. Those were the actions of a kind queen; of Usagi Tsukino. He shuddered slightly as he knew how she would turn out when queen, how she’d be because of that bitch Pluto’s manipulations.
Well, he was going to be the only one manipulating around here and do~ooon’t you forget eet!
With his resolve reaffirmed, a confident smirk came to Ranma’s face. “Well...” he said softly. “I think I can take time to allow myself a moment of relaxation... I deserve it.”
So, without a second thought, Ranma knew exactly what he was going to do. Unlike all those within the Dark Realm, he was more of a recent recruit. He still retained another ability to gain energy. He could naturally produce it by an act that humans took for granted.
Eating.
Sitting down at a table on the patio of the restaurant, Ranma deeply inhaled the scent of his meal. A double bacon triple cheese burger. Two patties of angus beef grilled to perfection with all the trimmings and then some... and a side of fries and diet cola.
Yes, only a true evil genius could appreciate that which was a diet cola.
Bringing his burger to his lips, Ranma took a big bite. Ah, yes... ever since his exile to the Dark Dimension, he’d seemed to have really slipped away from his Japanese Routes. He wasn’t one for Asian clothing, mannerisms, or cuisine has he had once been, but he preferred a distinctly ‘American’ flavor, or at least European. The outfit he was wearing now was based off from the British company Pendleton.
Chewing vigorously, Ranma enjoyed the taste, the texture. There was real sustenance behind this meal, and for that he was grateful.
However, when he reached over to grab his soda to wash it down, he had to stop as he noticed someone familiar to him.
Long hair... bangs covering his eyes... scruffy bears... tanned complexion...
“Yuuichiro Kumada...” Ranma whispered softly to himself. What a coincidence that the drifter/rock-artist who was the child of wealthy parents would be here for a meal as well. He wasn’t due to show up at the Hikawa Shrine for at least another two months, when the whole race and search for the Rainbow Crystals was supposed to start.
In his own way, if used now, Yuuichiro could become a powerful tool. Rei always did get flustered and taken off-balance whenever that man was around. She obviously had feelings for him...
Then again, Ranma had feelings for Rei too. Nowhere near as much as he had for his Mako-ch... Kino-san... but the fact was it was there. He hoped to eventually take nearly all the Senshi under his dark wing of rule, and that meant he needed Sailor Mars. She would be harder to turn if she had a fixation of romantic intent on another male.
But that idiot Yuuichiro WOULD be rather useful to his needs. The clown might be make a new target for Hino-san to direct her anger towards, taking her heat off of him and allowing the Dark Lord to worm his way into a partnership with the Senshi.
Who knows? His presence could be relaxing too... Sailor Mars wouldn’t be constantly blowing the horn about how they shouldn’t trust him when she’d have learned to finally take that stick out of her ass. She’d have to learn to calm herself if she felt as if she wanted to tolerate Yuuichiro. A same tolerance that could lead to much more, unfortunately...
Oh decisions, decisions...
