Not that she blamed the boy who had just lost control of his pink light. If she'd just had her father bellow to her to 'come meet her husband', who she probably hadn't even known existed before, she would have been shocked too. So, for him to be jolted by that pronouncement wasn't too surprising, and that made it easy to understand how he could stumble and loose control of his... whatever it was.
However, there was something possibly dangerous for her heading in her direction, and there was only one thing that her mind could come up with. She would have to immediately deal with the energy, and that would mean that she would have to keep herself from being hurt by it, even unintentionally. No thought went into it, as she simply acted on instinct and habit.
That was why a still unsteady Ranma saw the girl with the long dark hair clenching her jaw, tightening her fist until her knuckles were white, and... backhanding his attack away from herself. It went flying off to the side, where it crashed into a wall, which wasn't so bad. On the other hand, seeing a girl who had the blind focus and stubbornness to bull her way through to block the attack was a bit of a surprise.
Then again, it was clear that she had been forced back by the power of it, as she was not exactly trained to his level. As soon as the hit struck, one could easily see her try to steady herself, and it was almost like she was trying to not be thrown in the opposite direction of the one the attack went in. She tried hard though, and she did make a good showing of herself.
Given that she was an unenhanced human girl by what he could tell, it was rather impressive that she had the brute strength to do that. One might have expected an ogre, or an animal master to have that sort of power, but she looked like she was just a normal fighter. Yet, there was one thing he did have to admit that he had to pay attention to at the moment.
