"Ah, crap..."
Those were the first words out of Ranma mouth when he'd recovered from the unique "spit out of a washing machine, face first, upside down ten feet over your destination" sensation that accompanied using the "Hand of Evil" for teleportation. The reason for this was quite clear. He was standing on a small jetty overlooking what seemed to be a small underground lake at the end of an underground river. There was water to his left, water to his right, and thick stone walls bordering both sides. Simply put, there was no way to avoid getting wet.
"What, now..." the Horned Reaper hissed. "Afraid of a little water?"
"No, its not that..." Ranma began. "Its just that water and I don't... get along. The rock in these walls looks soft, maybe I can..."
The Reaper grunted in frustration, before giving Ranma a swift kick in the ass, sending him flying, screaming head first into the shallow water mighty splash.
Seconds later, Ranma burst from the water with an enraged sneered on her porcelain features that did little to project the volumes of her outrange, and really only managed to make her look constipated.
For his part, Horny had the decency to look shocked. Now, as a multi-thousand year old demon from the most fiery depths of the underworld, Horny could truthfully say that were was little he hadn't seen nor killed. Needless to say he was hard to surprise. This though, was just one of those moments. While he was not exactly an expert in human anatomy besides the obvious, pointy end goes in, blood comes out, person dies screaming, good fun all around, he knew damned well that his Keeper had just shifted from male to female. While he knew that were curses that could do it, few were lingering, most were limited duration, and none of them had the power to permanently affect a magical being on the level of a Dungeon Keeper.
"Asshole," Ranma growled as she struck Horny with a full force Keeper slap, sending the demon flying into the water.
The male turned female sighed in frustration as she climbed out of the water and removed her shirt, either unconscious of or apathetic to the fact that she was exposing her full bust to an irritated demon from hell. Without comment she began to ring the item of clothing out.
With a grunt, Horny stood up and glared at his Keeper, his eyes tracing over he petite form.
"You turned into a woman," he stated bluntly.
"Nice of you to notice, Horny," Ranma replied with a scowl.
The Reaper scowled for a moment as he thought back to the Mentor's intent to purchase a love slave. If this Keeper was really a woman, then a slave boy might be what they require. Oh well, best to find out. "What are you really? Man or Woman?"
"I'm a guy, damn it!" Ranma exclaimed in a sweet soprano. "I picked up this damned curse at Jusenkyo, an accursed training ground in China. There were these pools of water that carried the curse that you turn into what ever first drowned in them if you fall in. Cold water makes you change, hot water turns you back."
Horny nodded. From the sound of it, his Keeper did not enjoy the curse. Didn't blame him. Human females tended to be softer, weaker, and screamed much louder when they died. Pleasant to kill, but he sure as hell wouldn't want to be one.
"It must be a very powerful curse," Horny replied thoughtfully as he swore to himself to avoid 'cursed training grounds' in this 'China' at all cost. "It takes powerful magic to curse a Keeper."
"Yeah, well I haven't found a cure yet." Ranma grumbled. "So lets just see where this river goes for a bit. We're already wet so we might as well walk through the water..."
