RPG Maker 1/2: Other Gamers [Episode 180142]

by Thrythlind

Ranma and Hiroshi weren't the only people playing with copies of the newly designated "RPG Reality".

Across Japan other people were bending the fabric of reality and adding to the intermixing genres and time periods that were altering the country and pulling it away from the Earth.

Ranma, by some freak chance, was just the first in the country to start to build a dungeon. Meaning that the gremlin that was finding his powers spread so far had decided to start the "game" with Ranma's group. Elsewhere, he was stringing "secret characters".

Some as allies....

****************

Kodachi was initially confused as she looked into her wardrobe and found Victorian era dresses and military uniforms hanging within and over her neatly folded kimonos. She wasn't really certain why she was confused, which was only that much more confusing.

The fact that the view out of her bedroom window included a building that appeared to be Saint Hebereke's didn't help matters. Nor did the fact that Saint Hebereke's seemed to be the center of some sort of army-fortified colony town or something in a rather dark and forbidding looking landscape.

A sharp rap on her door, a heavy wooden hinged door, brought her to immediate attention as did the voice on the other end.

"Captain Kuno," the voice declared sharply but with immense respect. "The Governor demands your presence immediately."

"I'll be there shortly," Kodachi said immediately.

Deciding that her confusion had only stemmed from deciding what to wear, Kodachi immediately set it aside and took a moment to choose between her formal and combat uniforms. Settling on the dress uniform, she turned to the mirror and was momentarily shocked by her appearance.

An onlooker might have assumed it was the oni-like appearance she had taken on apparently overnight. Such things as the third eye, the little horns and the tiger tail probably would have really shocked someone that had gone to sleep without them.

None of these were chief on Kodachi's mind, however.

"Ahh! My hair looks atrocious!" she complained, trying to work at controlling her bad case of bed-hair while getting dressed for duty.

High above the hulking towers of Titanic City, the wide wings of a powerful protector of truth and justice stretched out to shield the innocent civilians below from the perfidious perpetrators of such vile villainies that few could possibly fathom their full ferocity.

In his secret identity as mild-mannered Mousse Duck, this crusader for correct consideration of others operated as the Avenging Angel. A secret he must keep even from the knowledge of the beautiful Shampoo Neko, the crusading DA who fought the same foes as he, but did not approve of unidentified vigilantes.

And some as enemies...

Azuza Shiratori and Mikado Sanzenin plotted from their palace of ice and magic. Soon the Ice Realm would spread to conquer all others.

******

The White Lily stood in the shadows as she watched the Black Rose walked briskly to attend to the Fort's governor. The little traitor demoness could do whatever she desired to keep these mortals safe, still the prey would be theirs. Even now Asuka's loyal forces stood ready to assault...as soon as their infilitrators were ready.

******

And of course, there were other things at work...
