“Would you stop staring at them,” quietly growled Michiru. Her and her lover had come to the movies to enjoy a night out, with Setsuna watching Hotaru. Actually, it was an excuse to go out and be frisky.
But Haruka was staring at Usagi and some new guy she was with. Well, that and shaking her head at how a girl could eat so much food. “There’s something odd about that guy.”
“Other than the fact he’s a guy,” muttered Michiru.
“Yeah,” she agreed.
Michiru sighed. “Listen, she’s enjoying herself, so let her. If it’s some new enemy, we’ll find out soon enough.
“Now stop being a peeping tom, and get to peeping on me. Or so help me, they’ll be another Senshi here with a guy.”
Haruka slowly turned around, remembering her lover, and exactly what was lacking underneath said girl’s shirt. She’ll be fine.
She had other things to attend to ... namely Michiru’s chest.
Ranma struggled to stay awake as the movie continued, even as Usagi cuddled into his side. Normally, he’d be worried about a fiancée or rival showing up, seeing them, thinking the worst, and a fight starting that would result in him being banned once again from a place of relaxation. About the only place he was allowed into in Nerima now were the Nekohanten, Ucchan’s, and the public library.
Though he had to admit some of the rooms of the library were pretty quiet. As long as he looked like he was reading, he could get a decent nap there.
But he didn't have to worry about that now, thanks to his new path. Such luck would have been true if he was still under Happosai's curse. Now, he could have a normal night.
Well, normal for normal people.
At least she had let him get more popcorn. But why did she insist on drinking a diet drink with her eating habits? Plus, as skinny as she was, he had to wonder if she had an eating disorder.
Then again, it probably all went to feed her magic, assuming it worked anything like his ki. And he certainly wasn’t going to say anything at this point. She might start crying again.
And if she did, and Skuld found out...
Usagi ignored it when he shivered, blaming it on a particularly sad scene in the movie.
It felt kind of nice to be out like this, especially given what was happening between her and Mamoru at that moment.
It wasn’t like they had broken up, but it wasn’t like they were together either. Both seemed to be in different places, and not just physically as well, but mentally. He was concentrating more on his studies in America, and she was still preparing for college.
Okay, her folks said either she had to go to college or get a job, and Senshi activities being what they were, college was the better choice.
But now she had Ranma, who according to those girls who had been with him, was supposed to not only guard her, but help her to find a path between chaos and order, and being in balance.
She sort of blanked out during the talk, but Luna seemed to understand it. She didn’t like it, but she understood.
But she had a cute hunk now whose job was to stay near her at all times, help her with things, and keep her company. He also knew all the best places to eat as well, a high point in his favor, as far as she was concerned.
Of course, she didn’t really know all that much about him. What was his favorite color? What were his parents like? How did he meet real nice Goddesses—except for the smaller one, who kept grumbling about ‘putting a box on his head when she caught him’.
Skuld seemed to be a little weird, but still a nice girl.
And Belldandy was real nice helping calm her down after dealing with Mamoru.
She did know he was very kind, had a great soul, and wasn’t complaining when she ate all the popcorn, or staring at her weirdly when she ordered that Diet Pepsi.
The problem she now had was what to do afterwards. Urd had given her some options, telling her what was happening around town lately. There were some parties, a nice dinner perhaps, another movie, a walk.
Though why the Goddess had given her a small pamphlet on Love Hotels was beyond her at the moment. But they did seem to serve ice cream there.
Well, the pamphlet said they served the toppings. So they had to have the ice cream. What else could they be used for? But it was kind of nice to know that Love Hotels offered other things besides rooms to do ... that.
So, it looked like she was going to have to choose. After all, he said it was her wish what they did that night. So she chose...
