It wasn't really staring back at him, he was sure - it just happened to, well, look that way...
Misato looked at him, grinning mischievously.
"Oh, and Ranma-kun? Thanks for lending me that Saint Seiya DVD yesterday - or was that the the day before yesterday? Whatever - I'd forgotten just how much sheer fun those old anime series were...Corny? Corny? Who the heck cares, I love extra corn on my pizza. Heh, heh..."
Ranma blinked. What? What?
Wait, so now Katsuragi Misato didn't remember watching his Eva DVD, but instead remembered -
Ranma looked back at the table, then. OK, the last time he'd seen it, the Eva DVD had been...there, right?
And there was still a anime DVD there, except what was on the cover was - Andromeda Shun. Ranma knew about Saint Seiya too, of course, though it had been Akane (and Kasumi, oddly enough) who had been a fan of that particular series, not Nabiki, but...
Ranma took it in hand, numbly. So...no more Eva DVD?
Which meant on one hand that neither Gendo or any of his 'backers' - what were they called, SEELE? - or anybody else could get their hands on it, for better or for worse, but on the other hand...
How the heck was he supposed to explain to anybody just what was going on, now? He wasn't good at explaining stuff believably at the best of times (though that might have something to do with the minor fact that a lot of the times, the messes he managed to land in were simply pretty darn unlikely...)
No, but wait. Ranma blinked as something that had been right near the DVD clinked to the floor.
A small key-chain that - looked like a DVD player?
Ranma took a good look at it. He wasn't sure, but - that tiny replica of a DVD in the thing sure looked an awful lot like the Eva DVD he remembered...
And what did it say on the back, now - Playable In Dreams?
...Hmmmmmmmmm............
