Ranma started counting the yen he was able to get. He figured most of it was pretty weird, but the shopkeeper never complained.
Well, he only complained and said stuff like ‘if you believe in that sort of thing’.
Well, Ranma did believe in that sort of thing, which was why he specially avoided the love item area. His luck, he’d either end up in love with some guy, or end up being chased by a psycho goddess on a power trip who’d blow up the world when he turned her down.
“God, that was such a bad week,” he murmured.
“Why can I not consume your soul and take you over? bellowed out Sou'unga.
“Cause I ain’t letting you,” growled out Ranma. “You know, for a magic sword, you ain’t that smart.”
“I am a demonic sword from Hell, you fool!” yelled Sou’unga. “I am not a magic sword!”
“Ah, whatever,” grumbled Ranma. He was starting to wish he could just sell the damn thing. All it ever did was bitch and moan about wanting his soul and not having it. “You are so getting Akane’s dinner tonight,” he said.
“Give me the sword!”
Ranma blinked as he stopped, looking at the thing before him. It was easily three meters tall, muscled arms with a large belly, red skin, and a horn above its three eyes. “Why would I give you this sword?”
“Foolish human! That sword has awoken me from my five hundred year slumber!” it yelled. “Now give it to me, and I’ll make your death quick!”
“At last!” yelled Sou’unga. “Now I shall be used to let the ground be soaked by the blood of—”
“Kijin Raishü Dan!”
The demon didn’t even have time to cry out as the vacuum blades cleaved it to pieces.
“...”
“Ah,” Ranma said, “peace and quiet at last.” Luckily, he had a few more ofuda scrolls left. “Damn, hope there’s a shrine I can buy some more at.”
“What the hell was that?”
“A demon,” answered Ranma. “Man, you ain’t smart at all, are ya?”
