“Are these the swords?” asked Tatewaki Kuno.
“Yes, Master Kuno,” said Sasuke.
Kuno smiled at the two swords, swords that had once belonged to a feared warrior that traversed Japan during the Warring States period. “Yes, this sword will help me finally defeat the foul sorcerer!” said Kuno, holding up a long sword.
“Um, Master Kuno, I thought the sword you wanted was supposed to be the Tenseiga?”
“Of course,” said Kuno. “And this is surely the sword that can slice demons unseen to all but the wielder!”
“But that is the Tōkijin,” said Sasuke.
“Surely you do not think I to be fooled as you were, by the former owner’s trap,” said Kuno. “He would hide the swords under the wrong names, to protect the Tenseiga from those like Saotome!
“With this, I shall slice through him, and free my loves!” proclaimed the scion of House Kuno, as a dull red glow began to form around the blade.
“Oh dear,” said Sasuke. “Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea,” he murmured, as he took the other sword, and prepared to sleep.
The residents of the Tendo Dojo stared at him, not because he was somehow obscene, but because...
“Saotome,” said Nabiki, “why are you carrying that sword?” she asked, spotting what looked like a pearl in the hilt.
“It’s just some damn magic sword,” said Ranma, as he battled his father for food.
“I AM A DEMON SWORD, YOU FOOLISH MORTAL MONKEY!”
“Whatever,” snorted Ranma.
“Son is that safe to have?” asked Nodoka.
“Well, it has been trying to eat my soul,” said Ranma, causing his father to slowly back away from the blade he had been about to sell borrow from his son for his safety. “So it ain’t like I can let anyone else have it. Don’t want them losing their soul because of a magic sword.”
“DEMON SWORD!” yelled the sword. “And when I find a host, this world will flow with the blood of those I slaughter!
“Kind of talks a lot,” sighed Ranma. “I figured I’d hold on to it until I can bury it somewhere, maybe toss it in the ocean or something.”
“I WILL HAVE YOUR SOUL AND SLAUGHTER ALL YOU HOLD DEAR!”
“It’s not a very nice magic sword, is it,” said Kasumi with a frown.
“WAH!” cried Soun. “A MAGIC SWORD IS TRYING TO CONSUME MY FUTURE SON-IN-LAW’S SOUL! NOW THE SCHOOLS WILL NEVER BE JOINED!”
“Can I at least kill him?
“RANMA!” yelled Akane, seeing that Ranma had not immediately told the foul magic sword no.
“What?” he asked. “I was just thinking.”
