Not Ranma nor Ukyo. No, he was certain he could escape them if he just had a few minutes head start. It wasn't the ropes, which he'd already wiggled around to be able to throw aside when the time came. It wasn't the Vixxen's fire techniques, nor Sakura's energy-sword, nor Kohran's gadgetry. No, it was all on the sleepy little blonde girl who affected a sort of French accent regularly. Iris could, if she were awake, stop him cold.
Now, what he needed to do was clear - which was another reason he had waited. He had to figure out his next move in the light of the new revelation that these girls were not going to be an obstacle to any other fiancee Ranma acquired.
So, the current plan was to sneak off and find Tendo. The boy and girls would follow, and then...
then all heck would break loose. Hmmm. He had to escape there, but somehow avoid having Tendo's place destroyed.
Ukyo was the loose end here. Now, how could he send her off on a wild goose chase until AFTER the fateful introductions had taken place?
"There was a problem," said the businessman, entering the crowded board room.
"Obviously, Mister Sanada, or you would not have indicated an emergency," said the chairman.
"To bring all of you up to speed, we collected genetic samples from the various powered girls associated with Ranma Saotome," said Sanada, laying a folder on the table. "There was to be an attempt at using that material to create our own warriors without having to rely on the boy or his pets, or trying to grab them without other branches learning of the event."
"The last I heard," said a woman in severe business attire, "we had been successful."
"In implanting the genetic material, in the experiment to see what develops, in keeping such from the public or other branches which might not view our little project as entirely ethical - yes." Sanada reached over and opened the folder he had just laid down. "The problem is that the experimental subjects have slipped their leashes."
"Emergency is insufficient, catastrophe might work better," said the chairman. "How?"
"Unknown," said Mister Sanada. "The investigation may take some time as the containment facility has been completely destroyed. More details will be found, but the immediate problem is the lack of the experimental subjects."
"Ah," said the woman, not showing any outward sign of her emotions.
