Such as one used when one's intentions had well and truly not been realized by the results one had gotten.
"What happened?"
"It appears that they were magical beings and our little mindwipe went a bit further than intended," said Forty Seven Blue.
"So instead of short-term memory suppression?" asked Thirty Two Muave.
"Well," hedged 47Blue, "most of their memories are IN there. It's just that they kind of got scrambled and their intellect levels are a bit lower than when they started. It's the accessing memories part that was the target after all."
"They attacked a farmship and blasted several herdbeasts," pointed out 32Muave. "They couldn't have been THAT bright to begin with."
"Be that as it may," said 47Blue. "They are currently at a mental level equatable with one of a two-Turn-old."
"What has THAT got to do with me?" asked the Ranmasaotome.
"They are being given to you," said 47Blue.
"WHAT?!" was Ranma's understandable reaction.
"Look, they're MAGICAL beings," said 47Blue. "They're of your species or fairly close. We thought they were just magic-wielders and so we utilized Anti-Magic Protocol One."
"That part I understand," said 32Muave. "What are you not saying?"
"Well," hedged the Shepherd named 47Blue, "it's not my fault."
"What happened?" asked Ranma and 32Muave almost simultaneously.
"Errr," hedged the Shepherd, managing to look sheepish. Which was a surprise to Ranma who thought they still looked kind of like a camel-hippo critter.
"Oh bother," said 32Muave, who was having popup holographic computer screens surround him. "Earth's defending magical warriors have gotten into the machinery."
"Weren't they on some farm-ship?" asked Ranma, then winced. "Right. Farm-ship. Automated machines and such."
"They've got warning lights and beep to get people to move out of the way. Well, we've repaired them," said 47Blue. "More or less. However we are not a primarily magical species. Most of our magic equipment comes from another species entirely."
"They lost their uniforms during the repair process," said 32Muave. "Well, the park they are now being held in IS set for environmental conditions where they should be comfortable."
"Uh huh, but why am I in charge of them?" asked Ranma.
"You're of the species, and of sufficient age that learning to be a parent would be required," said 47Blue. "Besides, some of the alterations..."
"Alterations?" asked Ranma.
"Not my fault!" said 47Blue.
It was with a certain amount of trepidation that Ranma Saotome entered the small park-ship. It was relatively tiny, a mere square 120 meters, but was a thick forest surrounding a grassy plain. The "ceiling" resembled a sky, including day and night cycle.
That wasn't the problem. The problem was the nine girls that surrounded him. The nine NAKED girls surrounding him.
