A young group of three man-sized orange raptor-like creatures wandered through the crowded tunnel listening intently at the rumors of a new Keeper. Apparently, this Keeper had made enemies of other local Keepers and there would no doubt that there will be a small war erupting soon. Their attention, however, focused on one rumor that Keeper Sidarian was one of the new Keeper’s adversaries. Upon that rumor all three of the Salamanders hissed angrily as they remembered being driven from their heated home of The Burning Flows when Sidarian came and began destroying their nesting grounds to mine the rich gold veins that littered the area. All the older Salamanders fought back, however, they were all killed because of Sidarian’s larger army. Pahoe flicked her forked tongue as she thought deeply. She and her brothers, Cinder and Scorch, were still young and inexperienced, but the motivation for revenge was just too much. Also the other Keepers, according to the rumors, had made a temporary alliance with Sidarian so they can’t enlist with Nelfania and Malbrin. Zeldon was not an option either because he seemed neutral in this conflict. That left this new Keeper named Ranma, who was unknown, but seemed to be very powerful. Powerful enough to even have a Horned Reaper that this new Keeper can summon by his side. Pahoe motioned her brothers to follow her to seek out this Ranma. Oh yes. Pahoe and her brothers will have their vengeance on Sidarian.
In a bar nearby were two Dark Elves who looked into this new Keeper that they were hearing about. They were eaten out of house and home… literally. Nelfania invaded an area known as the Mushroom Wood, a place well known for the large tree-like mushrooms grown there. Azrin and her sister, Krite lost their home was it was cut down because it was Red Viro, a mushroom that was considered a delicacy in the underworld. Unlike traditional Dark Elves, they never shaved their heads because they were skilled enough to not get their hair caught in the gears of their crossbows when aiming at their target. Because of this, both had shoulder length raven black hair. Behind them was Gnaw, a large brownish grey spider, who also lived in Mushroom Wood before Nelfania’s sudden invasion. All three held a grudge against that bloated Keeper.
At another area of Skid Row was an angry Troll lugging around a large hammer. Smeeg grumbled as he moved through the crowded corridors. He had been looking for this new Keeper for a while. He was good at making traps and doors, but even if he wasn’t a master builder. Smeeg had a big grudge against the other three Keepers, especially Malbrin. It was mainly the fact that all three had kicked him out of their dungeon. He had to work long hours and was underpaid or was never paid at all when he was employed by them. And when he complained he was either slapped or was locked in the workshop to continue working, if he continued to complain he was thrown through the portal. Malbrin, however, with his pompous attitude looked down at him saying that while Smeeg worked for him was greater than any gold he could offer. In simpler terms, meant Smeeg wasn’t going to get paid. When he complained even more, Malbrin had enough and ordered his guards to make him into a sacrifice. Smeeg barely got away as he jumped into the portal. With no money on hand he had to look for a new job which offered him very little. Zeldon already had enough smiths in his workshop so he was out. His big break came when a new Keeper who was rumored to be very rich and powerful showed up. As of the moment he was searching for this new Keeper to offer him his services, but he wasn’t going to be giddy about this. This Keeper was probably like the others and throw him out when his work ends. Won’t he be surprised?
Meanwhile in Ranma’s prison, Dusque knew one thing as her new ‘roomies’ woke up from their not-so-peaceful slumber. She hated all three of them with a passion. The Orc was a idiot, which is what she was expecting, but kept asking annoying questions. The Dark Elf was a pessimistic loner who had to be a smart-aleck. And finally the Assassin, who she now knows as a pervert with abyss damned horrid pickup lines.
“Why in the depths is he after me?!” Dusque shouted as she moved away from the Assassin.
“Because we are most likely going to die here,” answered Thogan, the Dark Elf. “And also you’re the closest female with breasts.”
“What?!”
“C’mon baby! I’ll even admit you’ve got the largest shrooms on a Maiden I’ve ever seen!” The Assassin, Gill, got hit in the face with the bucket in response.
“Zog no get it.” The Orc scratched his head in confusion.
“At least your getting more than Gill ever will,” Thogan deadpanned.
Even if Horny wasn't killing anything, he wouldn't get bored watching the prisoners.
