Etna scratched her head. "Isn't that when Midboss tried to do some revenge by placing a personal ad for Laharl. Something about 'Lonely Overlord Seeks Busty Beauty' and so on?"
"I think we're still getting applications for 'sweet torturer'," said Flonne with an uncertain tone.
"Yes! Pain! Misery! Confusion! Embarassment!" declared Laharl. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"You know," said Etna, thinking about it. "This could be fun."
Hanako cleared her throat, preferring to hang in the background most of the time. "It beats slogging through another swamp looking for zombies."
"Well, it's a slow TV night anyway," said Flonne.
Ranma continued to watch the counter ticking down, and tried to cover all the things on the list Rei had made him.
Let's see. Dungeons. That was okay, he understood the need for that. Arena Of Death? Sounded like it was some kind of dojo or training spot. Yeah, definitely needed one of those. Jusenkyo had just been lame. Pfeh. Transforming cursed springs. Didn't even teach you a particular special manuever.
Oh yeah. Stupid oyaji might be coming back. Converting a floor to a sake factory ought to keep the old man happy and out of his way. Oh! A big indoor bath. Really big. Spacious. Long hot soaks after a workout, heck yes!
Hmmm. What about that? Was that really necessary? Maid Guns? Well, on second thought, he DID have a big fortress. Maybe he ought to go with it anyway. He just didn't see where they needed that many. One or two should be fine.
Yeesh. Oh yeah. He better do that too. Busy busy busy.

"So this is what I use for my Dark Technician powers?" asked Umino, holding the bracer up. "What're these gemstones?"
"Those are materia," said Misato, pointing to her own bracer. "They're what you use to access magic. The blue one is an 'All', the green one linked to it is a Barrier, and the yellow one is a Repair materia."
"What's this one?" asked Umino, indicating a reddish-purple one.
"Oh, that's special," said Misato. "It's not quite a materia, it's one of a pair of teleporter stones. There's a chocobo in the stables that has the other stone you can summon with that. In case of needing a quick getaway or something."
Umino looked at Naru. Naru shrugged. Umino turned back to Misato. "What's a 'chocobo'?"
Naru shrugged and frowned slightly, as Umino seemed to be getting into this. A glance at the full-size Gundam unit indicated WHY he might find service to a Dark Overlord attractive. Boys and their toys. At least girls were above such bribery.
"Okay, so I get a magic sword with five materia, a transforming Gundam unit, AND a set of suites rent-free!"
Maya let out a deep breath. "You drive a hard bargain."
"Yup, shrewd bargainer, that's me," agreed Haruka, rubbing the back of her head. "Oh, and don't forget the chocobo races."
Michiru let out a deep breath. Tomboys and their toys.
