Thunder Ken: Competition Issues [Episode 182177]

by Kender

The girl bounded through the forest with the trees seeming to blur by her as she went. Her speed was certainly faster than many 'normal' girls would have been able to manage, as even track stars would have had trouble keeping up with her. Of course, if she had been like them, then she wouldn't have been quite as special as she was. Instead, she bore abilities beyond those of any 'average' girl's, and had something that seemed to avoid a lot of her contemporaries, a real purpose to her life.

After all, she had a clear sense of who she was, what she wanted to do, and who her rival was. Out there was the girl who called had herself 'Sailor V', and ever since she'd first heard of that girl, she'd known that she was going to defeat her. She had to, as the blonde was trouble, with no doubt about it. Someone had to put her in her place, and that someone was 'Lovely Mystical Beauty Nightshade', as she was her rival.

Not that anyone had let Sailor Venus know anything about that fact, least of all, said rival.

But that was only a minor thing to quibble about in Nightshade's opinion. Ever since the first appearances of a teenaged girl fighting crime, she'd been ready to take on the second rate 'wannabe', and been certain that she'd win. Why, the blonde couldn't even dress right, what with all those bows and bright white outfit. That school dress of hers didn't even try to appear impressive. If she had been wearing something like Nightshade's black and purple uniform, then she might have had a chance to actually get some use out of her outfit, rather than just giving thugs an opportunity to stare at her long legs. Of course, given the looks that the girl had once tried to cover with a mask, she didn't really have all that much to show off.

Still, Nightshade was not about to let herself get sidetracked by simple things like petty jealousy. With her lovely black hair, slim figure, and creamy skin, she was much too attractive to be bothered by how her rival was so... so... simple. Rather, it was her job, no, her duty to outdo and defeat the blonde girl. 'Goldie' might have had some luck before hand, and had constantly been moving on before Nightshade got to the scene of an incident, but this time there would be no dashing away at the last moment. Instead, there would be a confrontation, and a clear victor, or her name wasn't 'Nightshade'!

"OH-HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO.... OW!" went Nightshade as she ran right into a sturdy tree, as she was so busy laughing to herself that she hadn't been really looking at anything as she ran.

Blinking as she tried to focus past the... delay, she wondered if she had hit her head too much as she saw a girl in brightly colored ninja clothes jump by, followed by another girl in the same outfit. However, seeing such things in a forest was entirely too unlikely. It had taken some doing to track the movements of Sailor Venus to this mountain, and if that nautically themed girl was there, it was rather unlikely to see two oddities at once.

No, it was just probably a pair of birds or something that she'd merely mistaken for girls in her dazed state. Right now, it was better to get past that sort of thing, and point herself towards accomplishing what she'd come there for. Out there was Sailor Venus, and she still had to defeat that girl, as they were rivals, and that was what rivals did.

Besides, Sailor Venus had her mission, and Nightshade just so happened to be:
