Uchuu Kaizoku Moon: Inner Thoughts [Episode 182398]

by The Demented Redhead

Setsuna continued to work on the engines of the Silver Moon, a pastime her other self apparently took great enjoyment in.

She had just come from a meeting of the crew about their ... prisoner, if he could be called that.

“I can’t believe they actually got Haruka to submit to being massaged,” she said, as she checked a power relay.

They guy had made a good impression on the girls—Minako kept trying to sneak off from the meeting to get another massage—but the data they picked up was pretty good. Well, as good as could be.

Enough that Hotaru’s request that he be made “Ship’s Nurse” had gone through. Sure, he was directly under Hotaru’s command—which upset Minako who wanted him under her command, despite the fact that the ship’s pilot had no reason to have a nurse under her—but he was still a nuisance.

Especially when they learned of news from Selenia...

Setsuna sighed. Even though he had yet to do anything, his mere presence aboard the crew had been enough for the current ruling body on their exiled homeworld to hire the worst of the worst, pirates of reputation so fearful that Lady Seto of Jurai herself hunted them “for the fun of it”.

And they were after them.

“This just keeps getting worse and worse,” she said, as she tested the new relay. “Now we got every crazy from our old lives hunting us down now.”

Setsuna sighed once again, the work not as relaxing as she thought it would have been. “I need to find a way to give us an advantage.”

She could try and see if a version of their Sailor Crystals still existed. It would offer a measure that she doubted their reborn enemies would be able to contend with in this reality. The problem was whether or not Ami and Makoto—artificial life forms in their own rights—would even have a Sailor Crystal.

And Mamoru, the Mau; where were they? Did they exist here? Surely Mamoru was still destined for Usagi, right?

Right?

Michiru sat in her room, looking over the assembled photos of her family and friends, deep in thought. But her thoughts were centered on only one person: the prisoner and new ship’s nurse, Ranma of House Saotome.

It took her a while to decipher why those on Selenia were so desperate to take them out now. Sure, the Silver Moon and her crew had been causing them trouble for years, but they had never gone this far, offered so much of the precious funds they had killed for, to eliminate them.

Until now...

The only change was their passenger list.

And then it hit her. They feared what he could offer them. A single minor Jurai noble, whose ties to other houses and powers would make him very formidable. A mother who was on good terms with the Devil Princess, House Tendo, House Kuno, Amazon Nation, Kuonji Merchant Association, and whoever else Lady Nodoka decided to engage her son to; these would give Ranma and thus his heirs an enormous power block on Jurai.

Though she was relatively certain that the rumors that he had somehow become engaged to Princess Sasami were rumors alone.

But she did understand what they feared.

And she planned to discuss it with the others. If Usagi would marry him first, that would lend her considerable influence. And if Michiru became his second wife...

She nodded as she began to write down her plans. This would either be a great boon, or their greatest screw-up.

She had to sigh at that thought crossed her mind. It probably would be both.
