Information frowned slightly in thought. "Does he really need to be there?"
"For the time being, yes. It seems that he has had some trouble with reconciling with his situation."
"And that means...."
"He is tending towards solitary behavior, with little wish to really expand himself. However, it doesn't seem that it is not that he is antisocial, or something like that, but that he is just too caught up in his... issues at the moment.
"Could be something of a problem. But at least it doesn't seem like it is something that is totally insurmountable...."
"True. If he really is having those sorts of problems, perhaps just waiting will work. Someone might even help us out," the Technical officer commented with a shrug.
"Someone already has," Intel murmured, smirking slightly.
"Oh?"
"Usagi Tsukino. Apparently she met him when visiting the hospital, and wound up brightening him up."
"There has to be something about that girl," Technical muttered sourly.
"Problem with her?"
"Only in the academic sense. Near as we can tell, she has some sort of power that 'lights up' things in more ways than one."
"Well, at least that explains how his powers seem to have been brought up."
"Oh?"
"He's been showing quickness in a number of physical fields, and has shown something of... bond with roses."
"A boy," dryly put Information, "who is into roses?"
"A boy, who seems to be able to throw roses much more accurately than a flower, however pretty, should be able to go."
"Some sort of 'elemental' thing, as far as we can tell. Sort of like focusing on an aspect, rather than the whole thing. 'Ice' rather than just 'water'. That sort of thing."
"I see...."
"There has been talk of him going to be trained by the Aoyama clan though," Intelligence admitted, leaning back in the chair.
"What? They start gardening?"
"No. He's shown a propensity for being able to do sword fighting."
"And they'll train him," Information said, nodding in understanding. "Has he been manifesting anything?"
"We'll... have to get back to you on that," Technical admitted.
"Excuse me?"
"The boy hasn't gone and shown us anything clearly like that, but... what we have seen makes think that he might do it soon enough."
Intelligence made a sound of understanding, but didn't really say anything about it. There really wasn't anything to say, given that it wasn't clear as to which direction this would take. However, it was sure that the boy could very well likely have the means to defend himself.
After all, there was something to be said about having a defense with things going the way that they were. As it was, there were already oddities about the way that Miss Kuga's parents had been... removed from this life. Those were the sort of strange things that made it clear that being on one's toes was very important.
Not that mentioning it would be all that good, given what had happened so far, while:
