"Oh, how wonderful. Just what I was trying to avoid," Sailor Pluto drawled sarcastically.
"How so?"
"I wanted to make sure that he didn't get caught up in Senshi business, and especially prevent any chance that he'd get Senshi in a harem...."
"And where does that come into play here?" Setsuna asked.
"Eh? But you said...."
"I said that he was the fiance of more than one Senshi. I never said that it was certain that they'd marry."
"Oh."
"After all, there is his connection with the Princess, and you could say that he is her fiance this time around."
Pluto's eyes looked like they were going to bug out of her head. "The PRINCESS?!"
"Take a look at this," Setsuna murmured as she nodded towards the Time Gate.
Ranma wasn't quite sure as to what had just happened, but he was pretty sure that it was going to be trouble. As it was, he hadn't expected to come across this group of local girls, though he did have to admit that he wasn't exactly up on the paths in Chinese mountain ranges. And he certainly hadn't expected to fall into a wrestling match with a delicately pretty blonde girl.
Getting away from Mousse had been what Usagi had been aiming for, and she had been focusing more on that than exactly where that would lead her to. When it'd dropped her into a technical 'defeat' by, and the arms of, a cute Outsider boy, she found herself being a bit off kilter. Looking at this guy was certainly no chore, especially as it resulted in her heart thumping a bit faster, and a blush rising up on her cheeks. In fact, she didn't mind doing exactly what she realized might technically be the legal result of this situation.
"Wo ai ni," she murmured, and hesitantly put her arms around him as she kissed him on the mouth.
When the press of her soft lips came against his mouth, the pigtailed boy recognized that this was a rather major event, and that it was going to be with him for some time to come. If anything, the fact that he'd heard a yell of anger as he was kissed by this girl made it clear that it was going to give him a new set of problems. Oddly enough, he found some 'comfort' in the fact that it was going to give him a headache.
But at least it would make his mother happy, as she had always been after him to be 'manly'.
Actually, maybe that wasn't such a good part of this after all.
Had Pluto been capable of letting her jaw hang any lower, it might have wound up bouncing her chin on the tops of her breasts. "He met her when she went walking with a group of other girls to get away from Mousse, and wound up stumbling into Ranma when the nearly blind boy chased after her?"
"Something like that," Setsuna confirmed, giving a small smile over the top of her tea cup.
"But... how?"
"The same way that any chance meeting might happen."
"But, that law says that...."
The other woman waved a hand in dismissal of the words that were about to be spoken. "She might as well be his 'fiancee', given how shy they are about actually consumating such things."
"And she's not his only fiancee?"
"Remember, there is the Tendo arrangement. Two of the Senshi are 'Tendos', and until one of the sisters is picked for the engagement, they might as well all be considered to be engaged with him."
"Is that it?"
"There is my own engagement with him."
"That's.... eh?!"
"What is the matter?" Setsuna asked, stretching her long legs a bit. "There is a family pact, generations old, that says that a member of the Kuno clan must marry one of the Saotome line. And since I am the eldest Kuno, and Ranma is the only male Saotome...."
"Bu... bu... but.... You.... You're not supposed to know about that, right?"
All Setsuna did was give a mysterious smile to the other green haired woman.
She didn't know why, but Pluto couldn't help but feel a bit... annoyed by the response, but couldn't also get rid of the sense of some sort of 'irony' at that moment. She wasn't too certain as to what was going on, but she did know that it could be a problem for her. "Is that it?"
"Actually, to tell the truth, that is:
