Fortunately he had a way of doing so. A few bets, a registry, and now everytime he got his son into a temporary pactio - he got 5000yen in his account. Ka-ching! Naturally he had the ritual circle and methods of pactio contract memorized.
Magic, prior to the scroll, had gotten scoffed at. Now was a different story.
Temporary Pactio Cards came in a set of three, and when the Mage (or Ministra) invoked one they were never quite sure which one it was going to be. Armor was the most powerful and combat-oriented card. Cosplay was the still-useful but slightly less powerful card, and from what Genma had heard the odds somehow favored that one popping up. Finally there was the Suka card, which could be a problem if the fight were serious.
Because of the drawbacks of the Suka, and incidently that little wager, Genma was bound and determined to outdo that (self-proclaimed) Harem Master! His son was twice, no - THREE TIMES as manly as that twit!
It was nice that he'd been able to get his son a rival, but a rival in a poofy shirt was somewhat less desirable.
If THAT guy was the 'Harem Master' then Ranma would be a Battle Master! Or something. Genma was still working on the whole title thing. Naming conventions that translated well were not his strong suit.
