Chained World Mage: Spells And Skills [Episode 183160]

He just didn't like that the spells tended to be in Latin, of all languages. It was bad enough that spellcasting wasn't done in Japanese, but having to use a language that was centuries dead was a pain in the ass. But if he was going to be able to use magic, then he was going to have to learn Latin, which had been as much fun as trying to organize an entire library by himself would be. By what he'd heard, Eastern style magicians used talismans and summonings, but they also tended to hang back from the action, and that had never been his style.

Fortunately, most of that was done. For now, he was done with his studying, and the time had come to get some experience in actually using his magic. This wasn't to say that he hadn't learned how to cast spells, but that he was going to need to know how to apply what he'd learned to real life situations. One couldn't do that in a schoolroom, and, happily for him, the teachers had agreed that he needed to get out and learn how to handle things on his own.

No one in particular really considered Genma Saotome as a possible source of help in that regard.

And now he was going to be heading over to pick up Ukyo. She had been in training to be his 'ministra magi', which he was pretty sure wasn't quite like his own experiences. Near as he could tell, her education had been more in the fighting arts, as she was supposed to be his defense, so that he could have the time to cast spells. Well, he didn't particularly think that he'd have much trouble defending himself, but if it got him back to being with her, then he was fine by that.

He just had to wonder about what this 'Pactio' thing that he and his slave girl were supposed to do would entail.

Trying to puzzle that out kept him from snapping at his father for a little bit, while:

• they continued on their way.
• soon enough, they were where they had to be where they would pick up Ukyo.
• Ukyo was considering her situation.
• Ranma was unaware that there was someone that he'd met who was looking to become his 'ministra magi' herself.
• there were those who were already aiming at Ranma due to his potential.
• something else happened.
