Chained World: of mechanics [Episode 183255]

There were adventurers. Ranma had run into a few of them since coming to this world. One of whom he'd run across, and actually liked (the guy had given Ranma a scroll containing a martial arts secret technique that neither Ranma nor Genma had ever heard of before - immediately going on Ranma's 'Very Cool People List' for that little action) before their paths had diverged again.

(In truth, the Second Sight special technique HAD come in quite handy since then. Genma could manage it, though it seemed to give him a headache after a few minutes. Simply a manner of chi-infusing one's eyesight so that one could perceive chi-auras and patterns directly. Which, among other things, meant that they'd spent much less time getting involved with items and places that might be cursed or troublesome. Whenever Ranma said he 'didn't like the look of a place' - Genma would check and usually agreed once he saw evidence of floating skulls or similar apparitions.)

Meanwhile, Harcourt (a slightly chubby British fellow who sort of resembled a young Terry Thomas) had gone on to find something particularly interesting elsewhere. Something that a secret organization had been researching. Something that could have upset the balance of power had those individuals kept it.

Or, rather, HER.

What this secretive group had recovered was this damaged android that had apparently fallen in the Antarctic. The problem was that they'd recovered it from the scientist who'd actually found it, and he found Harcourt. Professor Natsume had been the client, and Harcourt had recovered the mechanism. Professor Natsume had even been able to rebuild the parts missing from the unit.

However, Professor Natsume's finances hadn't done so well. After that, and a little tiff with his wife, Harcourt found himself having to sell a partially repaired android to make up for some expenses incurred. Which was when someone winning a contest had crossed his path.

Now though, KOS-MOS was repaired and Ranma had reclaimed his android slavegirl.
