"The unit is useless to us now. We have a much more improved version in testing now," said one of those behind the desk.
"No, not useless," said one of the others. "We can use that one for final product testing."
"Hmmm," said the first of the directors. "Possible."
Ernst Blofeld moved ever so slightly at the head of the table. All eyes went to him, naturally.
"When will our improved version be ready?" asked Blofeld. "Six months wasn't it?"
"Yes, sir," answered the second director. "Optimum of eight months, but combat testing is scheduled for six months."
"That will do then," said Blofeld. "It is fitting that the new sweep away the old, much as SPECTRE will sweep away the little problems in our own path. Make sure T-ERROR is ready."

KOS-MOS would have sighed if she were human. Falling to the ground on this world from orbit with severe damage from gnosis, and there had been other factors. Had she fallen through time? Another dimension? That last explosion had propelled her through some odd distortion, anything was possible.
Without Shion or other prior-existing directives available, having the purpose of serving Ranma was not a bad thing. His attempts at combat training had indicated that she could eventually overcome some of the limitations she was currently under. A major one had been that her ability to summon weapons had apparently been negated or altered. She thought that with work she could probably substitute new ones, but that would take some time.
