Chained World: Downgrades, Upgrades, and Grade Curves [Episode 185334]

KOS-MOS was active, and had defragmented her memories. She now feigned ignorance simply because it led to less conflicts while she worked things out.

She was KOS-MOS, an anti-Gnosis weapon that had been heavily damaged and drifted through space towards Lost Jeruselam. Except that she had apparently also drifted through space/time. The time being late 20th Century, the space being a part of Lost Jeruselam, aka Old Earth. She had fallen into the ice of the Antarctic approximately 50,000 years ago where she'd been buried. She'd been dug out of the ice by a Professor Natsume who had created a unit named Nuku Nuku based on what he'd learned of her own construction. Then turned around and repaired KOS-MOS using what he'd learned constructing Nuku Nuku.

In between that time, she'd been captured and studied by another group known as SPECTRE. T-ELOS had been built, or a reasonable facsimile.

She was property now of a Ranma Saotome, who was attempting to teach her his martial arts.

Her ability to summon weapons from subspace was offline. While she could rebuild it eventually, it required materials technology not accessible at present. Many of her other abilities had been lost or damaged, either by the fight with the Gnosis that had claimed Jin Uzaki or in the fall from space or when the ice had buried and claimed her.

Currently her abilities were significantly downgraded from her peak, and the soul of Mary was apparently not present. At what point that had occurred, KOS-MOS had no data.

KOS-MOS waited for her Master to return and considered the data that she'd accumulated communicating with her "sister" Nuku Nuku. Cat brain notwithstanding.

She appeared to be considering her hands, though that was more a function of her altered physical components. Not being composed of nanobots meant her ability to morph to the preset weapon functions was compromised or offline entirely. However, her studies under Ranma thus far had revealed that chi or lifeforce was something that could be tapped into and utilized.

Her other hand drifted to her belly, where the X-Buster had once been. Now different machinery lay within. Her own nanobots were altered and working within her to different tasks. Mechanical pieces had been added to with something akin to Realian biosystems though cruder and more mechanical themselves.

KOS-MOS considered all this in an eyeblink, and then returned to considering her Master. She really had no reason to dispute this ownership as it was apparently acceptable behavior here. She had been owned by Vector Industries and now she was owned by Ranma Saotome. It was not that different except for possible additional duties.

KOS-MOS considered those, what remained of Mary bringing up a subroutine to cause her to blush. It might help in her human interaction studies if she experienced such activities.

Her head moved very precisely as she noted Master and his father approaching. New data accumulated indicated that very soon she should notify her Master that:
