"I am completely functional and prepared to perform duties," said KOS-MOS.
"Cool," said her Master.
"Well, hopefully she can keep up with you now," grumped Master's father (see file 'Baka Oyaji').
"So we're good to go?" her Master asked of an attendent.
"All ready," said the attendent. "Professor Natsume wishes you the best and requests an additional maintenance to be accomplished in four months time."
"Noted, Master," said KOS-MOS, knowing her Master and his parental unit lacked scheduling functions.
"Can't I get her to call me something else?" asked Ranma of the attendant.
"'Master' is the traditional term here," answered KOS-MOS. "Would you prefer 'sensei'?"
"Not really," said Ranma, scratching his head.
"Darling?" asked KOS-MOS.
"I don't think so," answered Ranma. "I ain't that guy on the TV."
"Dear?" asked KOS-MOS.

"Well, 'Master' is usually on that list, but 'Lord' or something similar is also frequently used," said the attendant.
"Maybe we can table this until later," finally interrupted Genma. "Daylights wasting and we've got somewhere to go."
"I also need to bring to your attention that my study of the interactive forces available in this universe will allow me to access several new attacks, the first of which I am ready to experiment with," said KOS-MOS in her normal emotionless voice. She was also aware that such things required a name by observing Ranma and his father. She was thinking "Excalibur Blow" might work for this one.
"Sounds good," said Ranma to KOS-MOS before considering his father again. "Where is it we gotta go?"
Genma gave a meaningful glance to the attendant who promptly found something to busy herself with. Then Genma tried to look as dignified and wise as possible, which signalled to Ranma that Trouble (capital-T intended) was about to manifest itself. "We are due at-"
