Akane sat in a sterile, white room with only a stainless-steel bench and a blank wall screen in the room. Akane was dressed in the control-garment for the Iron Maiden armor, which was mainly a unitard composed of a neoprene shell with a fine electronic negative-reaction control mesh inserted into the neoprene with control plugs at the hips, shoulders, and knees.
(Basically, it is a diver's wetsuit with a mesh of control elements that move the armor away from the moving limb; its also very form-fitting and curve-hugging)
The screen on the wall lit up with the image of the leader of AIMJapan. Akane sat up rigidly at attention. "Iron Maiden, AIM has your first mission. A group of enemy agents is getting too close to the Hive. You are to eliminate them and dispose of their evidence. Once they are eliminated, return to base." Akane just nodded once and then stood up. As she stood up a door opened in the previously seamless wall to her left. She walked out of the door into another small room where the Iron Maiden armor waited in its stand-by mode. Akane picked up the stainless-steel disc and placed it in its holder affixed to the back of her left hand.
The disc immedeately started to expand into the Iron Maiden armor. In only a few seconds the disc had expanded and covered Akane in the Iron Maiden armor. The single eyeslit glowed a dull green, while the wings attached to the jetpack swung out a few degrees as power was fed to the flight systems. A portal opened above her, and Iron Maiden igited her jetpack and boot-jets. In a gout of flame she left AIMJapan base and headed for Tokyo. Just after leveling out in flight mode, Iron Maiden activated her stealth systems and flew on undetected. In only a few minutes Akane had reached Tokyo without registering on any radar system, civilian or military. She soon reached the target coordinated shown on the battlesuits HUD.
The only warning the SHIELD agents got was the growing roar of Iron Maiden't flight systems. With a tremendous explosion Iron Maiden crashed through the wall of the warehouse that hid the SHIELD office. As she crashed through the wall Iron Maiden targeted the enemy agents with her forearm blasters. The enegy blasts started stitching pockmarks across the area as the SHIELD agents wnt to cover and started to return fire. All the while, the other crowning technological achievment of Project:Iron Maiden was keeping tabs on Akane.
What Akane did not know was that the cybernetic link that allowed her to control the Iron Maiden armor like it was a second skin was also a control device for her and acted as a data relay back to AIMJapan, showing everything she did. An AIM technician adjusted the aim of Iron Maiden's left blaster to destroy the computer that was supposed to contain all the evidence against AIMJapan. With a few blasts the computer was reduced to a smoking unuseable wreck. As Iron Maiden continued her assault...
