Coupled Union - Heavenly Bride: Contact To Contact [Episode 184149]

Belldandy looked up at the approaching girl and smiled. "Megumi! How wonderful to see you!"

"Isn't it though?" Megumi replied, a cheeky grin curving her lips. "Except that no one told me that 'Mister Martial Arts' was coming back."

"Oh dear.... I didn't know that it would be that important to you to know. But I would have told you if I had known...."

"Don't worry about it. It's okay," the human girl replied, waving off the worry.

"I would have let you know though. We just found out ourselves...."

"Like I said, don't worry about it. I can understand how suddenly plans can change."

"I just didn't want to make you feel like we were trying to leave you out," Belldandy admitted, apology still in her voice.

"She did say that she didn't mind though," Urd told her sister as she leaned over the short haired girl's shoulder. Turning to the human girl, she let her interest show with the raise of her brow. "What I focused on was that I believe that I heard that you say that you wanted to 'help'."

"I sure did," Megumi confirmed.

"The more, the merrier, I always say. On the other hand, maybe you can help me find a way to get things to be a bit more... lively."

"Oh?"

The white haired goddess nodded in a way that spoke of communicating with a kindred spirit. "Seems that your brother's being a bit of a stick in the mud."

"He can be that way, but he means well."

"That I know. Still, I'm here and ready to help...."

"Then why don't we get to it?"

"Sure thing... but...." Megumi murmured, before smiling and taking a few steps away from the goddesses. "Just let me make a few calls first."

"Oh. Okay...."

"Good. Be back in a moment."

Both goddesses stared as they began to wonder just what the graduate student was heading off to do.

As she was wiping the grease from her hands, Chihiro had to hold the cordless phone between her head and shoulder, not that she was all that put out by it. She loved working with machines, and she didn't feel at all bad about getting her hands dirty in doing so. Besides, one couldn't run a successful shop like she had by simply folding after every annoyance.

Of course, she was too pleased by what she was hearing to really bother with being petty at the moment. "So, he's coming back? And he'll be arriving today. That's something that I don't want to miss. Keep a spot open for me, okay? Bye!"

The grin on her face was large, and she felt certain that she would soon have some fun. Normally, she might have worried about the shop, but right then, she didn't think that this would be too much of a problem. Besides, one didn't become one's own boss to simply forget that one could make one's own schedule in that sort of situation.

"Listen, I'm going to be closing up, so finish whatever you're doing," she told the other person in the shop as she hung up the phone. "And you're probably going to want to come. Fighter boy's coming back."

"He is? I'm gonna wanna be there for sure. Just lemme make a call first," Tamiya told the young woman.

"Sure thing. Don't take too long though."

"You don't need to worry about that. I ain't 'bout to get left behind on this one."

"No kidding! He's really coming back?" Otaki practically yelped into the phone. "You're right about me not wanting to miss that!"

"Then he's really coming here? I mean, back to the area?" the young woman with him asked.

"It's as certain as it can be."

"Then, after I make a call, we can go."

"Wouldn't leave without you."

"I know," Satoko Yamano, his girlfriend, answered, smiling with a mix of pride and approval.

Sora hung up her phone with a small look of concern on her face. That did not come from any sort of trouble with her previous conversation, or what she'd just been told. And she certainly didn't have any difficulties that were new at the time.

Rather, she had a tiny dilemma on her hands.

"I wonder if Miss Sayoko would want to know about him coming," she thought out loud. "She does seem to be around a lot when he's nearby. Though, that girl Shiho did seem to appear a bunch too...."

Normally, he tended to be as fit as a fiddle, but, for reasons that he couldn't determine, he found himself getting a shiver right up and down his back. "Gah...."

"Are you alright, Ranma?" Kasumi asked, nearly rising from her seat as she reached out a helping hand towards him.

"It's okay. I'm fine. Damned near perfect, in fact."

"Interesting observation," Nabiki drawled as she leaned on one elbow. "Then why did you act like that?"

"Dunno. But it was like someone was do somethin' ta my grave, or somethin' like that."

"Prophetic sensation?"

"Ya kiddin'? What could be happenin' ta bother me?"

It had started with Chihiro and Tamiya's arrival, which had been rather sedate at first. But when the latter had learned that there were none of the sort of drinks that he preferred at the party, he'd gone out and got some himself to 'fill the absence'. By contrast, Otaki's arrival with his girlfriend had been pretty normal... though the blond man had gone on to help his muscular buddy advance his part of the party. Then it had become something of a constant stream of people arriving.

And now Keiichi was watching the horde of people who were enjoying themselves as the loud music played, and wondered what Ranma's reaction to what he was heading towards would be, while:
