Ritsuko stopped her following of Ranma in order to nod her head very rapidly. Of course she would make sure nobody disturbed his rest. That she had tried to make herself into a goddess and Maya had scratched out 'goddess' and put down 'absolutely helplessly loyal to Ranma' she hadn't counted on. The results were twisted enough.
She was absolutely helplessly loyal to Ranma. She was, sort of, a goddess. She was also a natural blonde now - which also pleased her. The goddess and loyalty had come together, and now she was a genie. Of sorts.
Then Ranma did something that proved he was very tired, and also still prone to bad judgement.
"Okay, keep tabs on everything and try to keep any MORE problems from escalating."
Ritsuko smiled as she interpreted that to mean she was in charge.
The pilot of the jet circled the really big tower up until the fuel gauge began to dip below the safe level.
Various scenarios had gone through his head and been discarded, and so far the only one that made ANY sense was that this was some sort of extraterrestrial invasion. Except as it didn't look like anyone was actively sending out troops, maybe 'invasion' wasn't the correct term.
Since the animal pens and such couldn't have been built instantly, they must have had a cloaking field of some kind. Which meant they had been here for some time - undetected.
Observation post? Spying on them for some nefarious purpose? Or the ET version of anthropologists studying the primitive native life?
As he received permission to come back and refuel, he knew darn well he'd be asked all sorts of questions, and he'd have to divulge his speculations. He just hoped the Old Men were going to be a bit more cautious now that it was obvious that they couldn't just bomb the thing.
"They'r so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute," gushed Minako Aino as she munched on a Deluxe Double Bacon Ninjaburger.
"Yes," agreed Umino, stopping slurping on a Strawberry Shinobi Shake. "Gundam units have a certain charm to them."
"I think she was referring to the moogles," said Naru, not having anything herself.
"This is just so wrong," said Rei Hino. Whether she was referring to ninja using various ninjitsu manuevers to prepare and deliver food, giant robots, moogle mage/engineers, or some other factor was not immediately apparent.
"Uhm," said Usagi, thinking she needed to talk to her Senshi in private, and tried to come up with an excuse. Besides - if she kept looking at all the cute little guys with their pom-poms she'd probably start gushing about how cute they were too. Even AMI was looking dazed and confused at this point. "Is there somewhere we can go and, ah, freshen up right now?"
"Oh, uhm, I guess," said Umino, looking around. Why did girls always have to go en masse to use the facilities? Another mystery about women he just couldn't fathom. He didn't think class lech Hiroyuki's speculations about lesbian orgies was likely to be accurate. "Ah. You there!"
A slender young-looking woman with batwings stopped looking over the directory. "Yes?"
"If you would please show them where they can..." began Umino, his voice trailing off as his mind unbidden began to pull up various scenarios that his classmate (the class lech who usually had two or three pornographic magazines hidden away on his person) had speculated on. "uhm."
"Freshen up?" asked Usagi, wondering why Umino was turning red.
"Clean up?" asked Ami, following Usagi's lead and wanting to get the Mercury Computer out and scan for all she was worth.
"Take a breather?" suggested Rei Hino.
"Get our minds settled," suggested Minako, waving a hand around. "This is all just so much to take in."
Etna blinked. Well, if that's what they wanted. There were areas she was curious about as well.
