Chained World: time to wake up? [Episode 184467]

by Kestral

The desired outcome was achieved by having Ranma startled and then tripped so that he "accidently" placed his lips in contact with Steel Angel Saki's.

She'd been upgraded significantly since her shut down in the Taiho era. During that era only 10% of "Lillith's" systems could be understood much less replicated. Now they had almost a 35% understanding of such things!

Her personality was largely unchanged. The Kansai Branch was concerned with such things.

It was that personality, and the records of what had gone on then, that made one of the scientists decide against having Ranma try to awaken Kurumi. Nobody really wanted to try placing Karinka in Saotome's care. With Kurumi and Mahoro both with Ranma, disaster was a word that frequently came into play.

Hence Saki. Saki was a good deal quieter, less enthusiastic, more likely to accept Mahoro. That was a primary consideration, as Mahoro's happiness and well-being was a concern.

"We have activation," said one of the scientists.

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" said Ranma to absolutely no one's surprise as he leapt away as if burned.

Saki slowly rose to a seated position, her right hand moving up to her lips. She saw her Master and knew that while she had loved Kurumi previously, this was her new love. Even if he was now running in circles and squawking like a chicken.

"Well, that's good," said one of the scientists. "Welcome to the 1980s, Saki!"

"I've been asleep for sixty years?!" asked Saki, a little dismayed at that revelation.
