Post Third Impact: The Spirit Is Willing [Episode 185112]

by Kestral

Her name was Sayo Aisaka, and she'd been dead and haunting a school until recently.

She'd been rather ineffectual as a ghost, she couldn't scare people (and was more likely to scare herself in the attempt), she tripped over her own feet (even when she wasn't manifesting feet), she tended to fall below the radar of even those people who normally were sensitive to spirits, and she wasn't even sure WHY she was an earthbound spirit.

When the SCARY ghost girl had shown up, at first she'd hidden. When she saw her classmates suddenly bursting like overripe fruit being squeezed, she'd TRIED to do something despite being scared nearly out of her wits. She could see the images overlaid, images the victims saw as comforting or soothing, and she could see below them. The scary ghost girl's expression was insane, with a smile too big for her face and wide open manic eyes. Twisted. Horrific.

She'd been frightened though, and had faded even more as a result. Then they were gone.

She'd run her fingers through the weird semi-liquid and tried to keep it from dribbling away. Of course, not being solid herself had given her some problems in that regard.

She'd wandered around then, in shock, until she'd realized that the weird sky-effect had passed and she'd somehow wandered off campus.

Now she'd found someone alive. She wasn't alone anymore, which helped her deal with the fear just a bit.

Of course, now she had to figure out -

"YAHHHHHHHH!" said the boy running really fast, then slamming into a phone pole and keeling over. The phone pole came down a moment later.

"Oh, NOW I scare someone," said Sayo, palming her forehead. "I am SO pathetic."
