Ranma, on the other hand, had been shown all sorts of things and had absorbed them like a dry sponge submerged in water. The lore of the Village Hidden In The Mountains had clicked together for him, and he was fairly balanced. One reason that the village had warmed to him so quickly was that monstrous level of talent he had. They wouldn't show him everything, but for someone without a sharingen eye - he was quite impressive.
Akane also knew that they wanted him as PART of the village. As in settling down and raising a family. A LARGE family.
As to what that meant, Akane wasn't sure.
While waiting for Ranma though, she overheard a conversation that indicated:
