Chained World: Schoolgirl Special [Episode 185322]

by Kestral

When Yuka and Sayuri had been sold, they had been a "schoolgirl special" and it had looked as if the two Junior High students would end up going to a Yakuza "specialty shop" (using a known middleman) when someone had intervened.

He had let them keep their names, but they had eventually decided themselves to drop their family names as they were no longer part of their original family and select one of the usual slavenames as they were now family retainers. They'd both requested and gotten the little cartouche that showed their permanent status, though technically they were similar to the old notion of clan retainers.

They carried the little ID cards too, which allowed them into slave-only areas. It was the tattooed cartouche just above their hips on their back though that was literally their permanent indication of their status. As such, they were on the family register and could not be traded or sold. The cards gave a little more detail, as well as having a magnetic stripe and their photo.

"Where IS he?" asked Yuka, her eyes flicking back to the clock.

"I hope he's okay, without either of us to discourage his father's tendencies." Sayuri let that trail off suggestively.

"Another sweater?" asked Yuka, eyeing what Sayuri was knitting.

"Yup, got a good deal on wool yarn." Sayuri didn't look up. "I'm getting better at this."

"Practice makes perfect," quoted Yuka, trying to turn her attention back to studying. They were valued clan retainers now, and Yuka WAS trying to pick up new skills as shown by her choice of reading material.
