The watcher saw that unlike the final episode of Slayers TRY, Lina and her allies did not survive, even though they did defeat Dark Star.
The Watcher watched as the Lord of Nightmares intervened, and took the memories and souls of the Slayers into the past, long before Lina ever experimented with the Giga Slave, but shortly after her adventures with Naga on Mipross Island.
As such the past versions of Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, Amelia, Filia, and Xellos will have the memories and experiences of what will happen in the future.
So the watcher decided to start his focus on...
