Lina Inverse woke up slowly. Damn, she hated those kind of battles. Always down to the wire, one shot to either win or lose, with the world at stake. "Gourry," she mumbled, "close the curtain..."
"Gourry?" a familiar annoying voice asked. "Who's this, Lina? Are you having a perverted dream about an old boyfriend? Well, you'd best hope he doesn't show up, or he'll never take his eyes off of me, Naga, the White Serpent! OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH!"
That woke Lina right up. "N-n-n-n-naga?!" But there she was, large as life and twice as annoying, her old traveling partner. But what was she doing here? And where were the others?
"What are you doing here, Naga?"
Now Naga looked confused. "Lina? What are you talking about? Did you hit your head? We've only been traveling together for the last four days!"
Lina blinked. "Four days?"
Naga nodded. "Yes. Ever since getting back from Mipross Island."
Lina nearly fainted. That was over a year before she even met Gourry or the rest. Could she really have gone back in time?
Naga continued talking. "And I am very cross at you, Lina, going treasure hunting without me."
Lina blinked, focusing in on what Naga was talking about. "Huh?"
Now Naga blinked. Maybe Lina really had hit her head or something. "I leave for a few hours, and now I find you with a new outfit, four magic Talismans, and an ornamental bow. How could you, Lina! I demand you turn some of your loot over to me!" Naga whined.
Lina blinked, deliberately. Then she looked down. She was still dressed as she had been when fighting Darkstar. And she was wearing the Demon Blood Talismans. And she had Galvayra, the Bow of Light.
Lina took a moment to imagine what kind of damage Naga could do with either of those.
"Ahehehe, gottago,Naga,bye!!" Lina said as she rushed away.
"OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH! You're not getting away that easy, Lina Inverse!" Naga laughed, and chased after Lina.

Gourry Gabriev got up and looked around. He didn't see Lina or the others anywhere.
He always hated it when he got separated from Lina. He was her protector! How could he protect her, if he wasn't with her?
So without further ado, Gourry got up, and began searching for Lina. It never even occurred to him that he could be in the past...

Zelgadis was still in shock. He was human again! Okay sure, he was in the bast, blown back there by whatever Darkstar had done in the end. Which meant that Rezo was still possessed by Shabranigdo, Gaav and Phibrizo were still around, and Darkstar was still trying to get in. But he could deal with that later. Right now, he was just reveling in being human again.
"Zelgadis..." a voice from behind him asked.
Zel's eyes widened. It was Rezo! "What do you want?" He asked crossly.
"I understand you want to be stronger, Zelgadis. I can help you, if you wish."
Suddenly, he figured out exactly when and where he was. This was when Rezo had turned him into a Chimera! Well, not this time! "Forget it, Rezo. I'll get stronger on my own."
Rezo frowned. "That is most unfortunate." He gestured with his hand, and a dozen beast-men walked out of the forest. "These things go so much easier if you cooperate..."
Zelgadis cursed. It looked like Rezo never had intended to give him a choice...
"Look on the bright side, Zelgadis," Rezo called as the beast men moved in, "I'll still be making you stronger."

Amelia Wil Tesla Sailoon was having a dilemma. Finding herself in the past was a shock, but after traveling with Lina, Zelgadis, and the others, she was pretty much inured to such things. However, now she was in a moral quandary.
She was well aware that her uncle Randy and her Cousin Alfred were each planning separate coups. However, was it just to act before either had actually done anything?
She couldn't go to her father with this. After all, 'I know because I actually came from the future...' wasn't going to convince him that she was right, and would only tip them off.
If only she could talk to Lina or Zelgadis about this. Lina always had a frank and direct method, it was usually a great counterpart to her own views, and Zelgadis pragmatism often cut through issues her ideology would obscure...
Then Amelia blinked. Why couldn't she? After all, it was likely that they went back too... why couldn't she find them?
Well, okay, she couldn't leave the palace at this point. She wouldn't be let out until she completed her white magic training...
Amelia smiled. But she already knew what her teacher was going to show her. Heck, she knew so much more than that now!
Amelia leapt to her feet and headed to her wardrobe. She would do it! She'd finish her course in record time and then go find Lina, and Gourry, and (of course,) Zelgadis.
She briefly wondered if Mr. Zelgadis was a chimera now. And then wondered what he would look like as a human.
Amelia blushed.
Maybe she'd look for Mr. Zelgadis first...
