"Because this is for people who have special abilities, Akane," explained Kasumi.
"Because you kept wrecking the bed while thrashing around sleeping, and now that you're sleeping on the floor our budget for repairing the floor is overextended," said Nabiki.
"Because those two schoolmates of yours were found crammed into a locker with you, a large tub of margarine, and no clothes," said Soun, his eyes red and STILL twitching over that.
"THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" yelled Akane.
"And the school's charging us for the damage to the lockers," grumbled Nabiki.
"I had to breathe didn't I?!" grumbled Akane.
"Special Needs, huh?" asked Ryoga. "Why ME?!"
"You get lost easily, you don't control your own strength very well, and you keep rearranging the landscape," said the voice over the phone.
"What makes you think I get lost?!" demanded a sulking Ryoga.
"Other than you're supposed to be at your home in Nerima, and instead you're at a pay phone in Hokkaido?" asked the voice over the phone.
"...okay, point taken," grumbled Ryoga.
"Why do I have to go?!"
"I dunno. I don't even know why I'm supposed to go. It's not like I've even BEEN to a school before now."
"THAT is probably WHY they want you to go," said Kagome Higurashi. "But I'm NORMAL."
"With a magic bow and spirit-energy arrows?" asked Inuyasha.
"Maybe that's it," said Kagome, calming. "They want me for my talents as a miko."
Inuyasha shrugged. School. Bleah.
