"Saidar, saidan?" guessed Sailor Pluto. "Dear Chronos, not THAT world is it? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" WHACK!
Hotaru considered slapping Pluto a few more times on general principle, but held off. For now.
"I'm scanning, we're adjascent to one of the major nodes of magical energies," said Mercury. "It seems to be some kind of - tree?"
Makoto shrugged. "Well, that could be good or that could be - Hotaru?"
Nearly everyone blinked at that, looking towards Makoto - to see that she was looking at Hotaru.
Hotaru's sullen expression had just lifted. "Sempai?"
"No. He can't be -" said Pluto, her voice trailing off.
"Her sempai's a tree?" asked Usagi.
"He's there. I know it. SEMPAI!" said Hotaru, running off into the mists.
"She's left the barrier, she's now in that other world," said Mercury. "I'm using her as a focus to get better readings."
"Oh?" asked Venus. "Sort of like a chupacabra trap?"
"No, more like a forward observer," said Mercury, not bothering to try and figure out what her friend was talking about.
"Are there boys there?" asked Venus.
"It looks like -" said Mercury.
"Yes?" prompted nearly everyone else.
"It looks like the Mercury Computer just died," said Mercury, tears welling up in her eyes.
Hotaru Tomoe stepped out of the mists and felt some sort of internal twist. That wasn't her main concern though. She stood on a walkway near a train station, looking out where she could see-
