That was why he could think of only one possible course of action when he heard what was being said by his daughter.
As Ryoga Hibiki tried to pass by, he showed that he really was a martial artist. With a simple dart of his hand, he grabbed the boy by the bandana, and held on tight. Yanking backwards, he pulled the Lost Boy to a position where he could look him in the eye.
"You will NOT dishonor my little girl any further. I'm calling a priest," he growled, his grim expression firm as stone.
Ryoga blinked at the older man. "Why would you do that?"
"So that you can marry her, that's why!"
"WHAT?!" came out of the throats of the boy in question, Akane, and Genma.
"There is no questioning it. You are going to marry my dear Akane."
"But why?!"
"You have to ask?! You went and slept with her, and have been prancing about naked with her! My baby girl needs to settle down, and since you were the one who took her innocence, you need to take responsibility for it!" the Tendo Patriarch barked.
"When did I say that I took her 'innocence'?!"
"When you confirmed that you slept with her!"
"Ahh... but I...."
"No excuses. There can not be anything that would prevent this union!"
"What about Ranma?" Genma asked, worry making the corner of his eyes wrinkle. "He was supposed to marry her...."
"Yes, well, she's already been compromised by this... this... pervert, who's made it so that she will have to marry him. And Ranma is not here, so there was no one to stop this."
"But he could come back!"
"That's true...."
"What we do with having his fiancee married to another boy if he does return?!"
Soun rubbed his moustache before letting his lips thin. "Then we'll simply have to change our plans."
"You mean to leave it to her marrying this guy?"
"Yes, but I do have two other daughters. I have to admit that since Akane was compromised by this boy, Nabiki would probably be the likely choice."
"You mean...."
"Yes, Nabiki will likely become his fiancee," the tall man confirmed, seeming to not notice the sight of the girl in question looking like she was choking on her own surprise. "Can't let the promise fall because of what has happened between these two."
"Ohh...."
"But I don't want to marry him!" Akane protested rather loudly.
"There's no choice," her father retorted. "You must marry him, for the sake of honor."
"Eh?! But I'd prefer to marry RANMA than him!"
"Oh dear, if only that had come out earlier," Nodoka murmured, pressing the fingertips of one hand to her cheek.
"And why is that?"
"If he had been here, then that would have shown your desire to go through with the promise. But now... there is no other choice. Your honor has been tarnished, and your father has made his decision."
"ARGH!"
"So now that it's settled, why don't you discuss this with your new fiance?" Soun asked, and let the boy go.
"I'll do exactly that," Akane promised, cracking her knuckles.
"You will?"
"Yes, I will," the youngest Tendo agreed quietly... before smashing Ryoga to the floor and stomping on.... sensitive places. "This is all YOUR FAULT!"
"Ah, it saddens me to know that this is going to have to follow through..."
Genma frowned slightly at the sight of the boy getting pounded on by the girl that his son was supposed to marry. "Well, at least there seems to be some sort of affection going on."
"You're right about that, Saotome. Why, can't you see how worked up she's getting with this?"
"That I can, old friend, that I can."
Nabiki turned from the sight of her younger sister twisting the legs of a naked boy to stare dully at the two fathers, while:
