Usagi pinched herself. Nope. Not dreaming. Some monster had been getting all misty-eyed while reading her "Rose Of Versailles" tankubon. They just didn't make menaces from beyond like they used to.
"I am the Great Kachoo!" said the two foot tall stuffed neon green Cthulhu doll. That this was just a size change because he'd discovered that showing up at 600' feet height tended to put people off was not immediately apparent.
"Gesundheit," said Usagi, wondering if this sort of thing happened to other teenage superheroes.
"I thought I'd meet with you and let you know of my diabolical plan to conquer the world," said the plushtoy. "Would you prefer to meet later over lunch? I know this really good 'beef bowl' place."
"You don't want to destroy the world?" asked Usagi.
"Isn't that a little cliche?" Kachoo pointed out. "Besides, what do you do then? Dead worlds are a dime a dozen in the universe, no real market value. No, it is my plan to conquer this world, bringing in a new age of peace and posterity and then expand outward into the universe at large. Maybe start with beef bowl franchises."
"I take it you like beef bowl," said Usagi.
"Any race that develops such delicious food is okay in my book," said the plushy Cthulhu-esque being. "I'm still sampling Earth cuisine. Do you know there are over 200 varieties of ramen available in Tokyo?"
"Okay," said Usagi. She was trying to get her mind kickstarted with the idea that the fate of the world might have been decided by a beef bowl.
"So would lunch be better? I'll pay."
"Sounds good to me," said Usagi - who wouldn't mind a free lunch even if it was catered by the Forces Of Darkness. "I'll call the others."
