Setsuna's Fault: Magic gone wild? [Episode 187969]

Magic flowed through the world like a river going through suddenly opened sluicegates.

Pillars of light flowed up from Stonehenge, from Jusenkyo, from Sedona. Areas that naturally echoed enchantment were nearly destroyed, while those that WERE magical literally burned from the influx of energy.

On a beach, six girls screamed in pain as unfamiliar power coursed through them and a glittering crystal burned its way free. It was like taking a PDA and tying it directly to a main powerline.

Ice abruptly encased Sailor Mercury as her body temperature plummetted to nearly absolute zero. White hot plasma erupted from every pore and orifice on Sailor Mars. A similar display of electricity erupted skyward from Sailor Jupiter. Sailor Venus sent beams of light out from within a smothering coccoon of chains. Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn came together, understanding somehow that their eruptions would cancel out each other's.

Ranma felt energies entering his own body, and went down to his knees as he sought to lock and channel and control the power. Then he very carefully knocked each of the girls surrounding him out, using the one that looked like Ami to hit the one that was fusing the sand into bubbling glass.

Burned, scorched, smouldering, and twitching from the ordeal, Ranma watched as each dropped their transformation and stopped producing displays. Where the idea had come from, he had no idea. Nor did he know that normally that wouldn't have worked as they'd remain in Senshi ID even when unconscious.

Mamoru Chiba watched from a distance, nodding, then collapsing himself from the pain of the thorns that had erupted from his own body.

Ranma collapsed, not noticing how his own body had changed, his exposure to their magic with his own exposure to the magic trying to shift him.

Others elsewhere were dealing with sudden flaring pain, a vision of white light, and then blessed unconsciousness. Individuals would wake to different forms, and in some cases genders. Dead rose from their graves in some cases.
