The group was silent as they ate. Kouga eventually spoke up.
"You realize that they'll eventually attack again."
Everyone present nodded.
"We need to make sure that they can't touch Ranma. Any ideas?"
Inu-Yasha brightened up at this.
"I could slice them up with my claws?"
"No."
"Drown them?"
"No."
"Carve off their-"
"WE ARE NOT KILLING ANYONE!"
"... sorry."
The table was silent again. Kagome suddenly stiffened up.
"I've got it! While Ranma and Ryouga married, they aren't legally married, are you?"
Ryouga and Ranma shook their heads no.
"If we had a legal wedding ceremony, then legally, they couldn't touch you! Not to mention, having an actual wedding ceremony would be enjoyable."
Kyoko smiled at this. "Why, sweetie, that's a wonderful idea!"
Ranma turned toward her love. "Oh, Ryouga, could we? I'd love to have a wedding!"
Ryouga smiled. "I don't see why not. Let's do it!"
The wedding was scheduled for the next Sunday.
