The Crossover Cube might have an opinion on this, but it wasn't talking.
Ferid and Arshtat summoned their Queen's Knights together, including Miakis and Lyon. Sialeeds was also present, looking almost amused but mostly as if she hadn't gotten enough sleep.
"Keep in mind this is most secret," cautioned Ferid. "Word of this is not to escape this room."
The various Knights all looked on, expressions unchanging.
"Due to recent rumors and innuendo," said Ferid, "there are arrangements being made regarding the Prince."
"Ah," said several of the Knights.
"The Sacred Games approach, and Kyle is currently off arranging things," said Ferid. "However, there are other arrangements that can be made."
"Such as arranging a fiancee for the Prince," said Arshtat, waiting for the explosion.
"WHAT?!" exclaimed most of the Knights.
"I myself can never marry, because there's the throne and ascension issues," said Sialeeds. "This isn't the problem it could be for the Prince as he has NO claim to the throne or ascension possibilities."
"B-b-b-but," protested Lyon.
"Hmmmmm," hmmmmed Miakis.
"On the other hand, it COULD be used to cement an alliance with one of the noble houses," said Sialeeds. "We'll have to find someone trustworthy to make a list of suitable candidates."
"Or with another kingdom," pointed out Ferid. "We'll have to investigate, but this should nip a few rumors in the bud. I happen to know full well that the Prince is interested in girls."
"How do you know that for certain?" asked Miakis.
"He wouldn't get that embarrassed or bothered by nearly naked women," said Ferid.
"Why are you telling us this, sir?" rumbled Galleon.
"Because the Prince is going to be impersonated on the trip to Stormfist, a stand-in." Queen Arshtat swept the room with her eyes. "My loyal Knights, your cooperation is needed to make this work. At Stormfist the Prince will still arrive before us and switch with the stand-in."
"You get all that?" asked Alenia three hours later as Zahhak watched for anyone that might approach this part of the battlements.
"Yes," said Dolph. "We'll find and remove the Prince, never fear."
