Setsuna's Fault - 108 Stars: Preparations for battle [Episode 188524]

by Kestral

There was a town named Mahora, the site of an academy. Magic was one of the things studied there.

Enter a ten year old boy. On his right hand, the Cyclone Rune. On his left hand, the Thunder Rune. He was Negi Springfield, a student of magic and a teacher of foreign languages and customs.

"B-b-b-but - they said it was just customary for people new to Falena," said that ten year old boy.

"They lied," said the School Dean. "You've been entered in the Sacred Games, where you have to compete for the hand of the Royal Princess."

"oooooh," said Negi, wilting as if he would faint.

"This'll be interesting," said a shaggy-haired youth. "Can't wait to see how you'll do against the big guys."

"Now Kotaro," scolded the Dean, "don't make this any harder than it has to be."

"Heh, I wanted to match myself up against him," said Kotaro. "Looks like I'll get the chance."

"You really want to marry the Princess?" asked the Dean, clearly skeptical.

"Nah, I just want to get into some fighting," said Kotaro. "How old is this chick anyway?"

"The Princess is ten years old," said the Dean.

"Nothin' to worry about immediately anyway," said Kotaro with a shrug.

Takamichi snapped the book shut with a quick gesture.

Setsuna's thumb came to rest on the sheath for her sword.

Kaede frowned ever so slightly.

Ranma/Faroush let out a breath.

Konoka blinked. "Is the lesson over?"

"You might say that," said Faroush. "That's three. No - five."

"More come," said Kaede, apparently focussing her attention on a pebble in the grass of the trail.
