Naruto disappeared in a manner that can only be described as anti-climatic. He found himself in the same forest in the same position as he did before and thought that he had failed to use the jutsu properely. This of course was not the case, as Naruto was soon to find out. A man appeared before him, with blond locks and blue eyes. And if it were not for the fact that this man had no whisker marks on his face, he could have believed that it was himself from the future, wearing the hokage robes with such style. Unfortunately for all involved, he did recognize this inconsistency and ...

• Thought that it was a figment of his imagination, or a fanciful dream
• Think he must have gone to the past, to meet who he now recognized as the fourth hokage.
• Realize that he failed and must be in some universe where the kyuubi never attacked.
• The naruto he switched with is just now encountering Iruka and Mizuki.
• Something else
