[Episode 190389]Then darkness.
"TUXEDO KAMEN-SAMA?!" said Sailor Moon, a moment before she was backhanded into unconsciousness.
Sephiroth picked up the bleeding man in formal attire, tossing him over a shoulder before leaving. He just as casually lifted the short haired blonde as he followed the others. Kefka needed his experimental subjects after all.
Cold. It was terribly cold. Also dark.
Ami groaned as pain reinstated itself, radiating from the region of her upper face. "Oh."
A woman's voice, calm and gentle. "Hold on. I'm still healing you."
"There was an explosion," said Ami, realizing things. "My visor?"
"It's gone," said a man's voice. "There were little bits and pieces of something imbedded in your skin."
"That's as much healing as I can do for now, you'll have to dismiss me until you've rested," said the woman's voice.
"Okay, and thanks Aerith," said the boy's voice. "Summons - Dismiss."
There was a feeling of a presence vanishing, though she could hear one other person still present.
"Why are the lights out?" asked Ami, having a bad feeling.
"They aren't out," said the boy. "Ya got hurt real bad. Found ya in the snow outside."
"I'm... blind?" asked Ami, fighting down panic.
"Aerith says yer eyes were damaged, but thinks you'll get some kinda vision back eventually," said the boy. "In the meantime, there's this cabin and yer free to stay with me for awhile."
"Who was that woman?" asked Ami, wanting to change the subject.
"Her name's Aerith," said the boy. "She says hello by the way. I can summon her once a day, but... it's complicated."
"It appears I have nowhere to go," pointed out Ami. She didn't want to return to the other Senshi until she could regain her sight - otherwise she'd just be someone else they'd have to protect.
"Okay, short version," said the boy. "I got thrown into Hell by some gal in a sailor cheerleader outfit. I got out eventually. Got in lots of fights. Got my keester handed to me a few times. Met up with Aerith in this underground grotto with something called the 'Lifestream' running through and she sorta left an impression."
"I heard her talking though," said Ami.
"Uhm, I'm not good at explainin' this sorta thing," said the boy. "She left something of herself with me, cause she's getting ready to be reborn in the mortal world. She's dead, see. So she left me with this part of herself, so the rest of her could be reborn. When I run into her reborn self, I can then transfer that impression over to her new life when she's ready."
"You're right, that IS complicated," agreed Ami, looking in the direction of the boy's voice.
"Yeah, and boy are Cloud and Tifa gonna be surprised when their child-to-be turns out to be Aerith," said the boy. "Well, part of her. Something about reincarnating and such."
"Sounds VERY complicated," said Ami, holding back a yawn.
"Ya get some sleep, I got some stew heating on the stove, ya can get some when you wake up again," said the boy. "When yer able, I'll drop ya off in Midgard. It's better'n staying here on the mountain."
