Kefka looked around. "Nice. Sort of Gothic but nice. What was it used for?"
"This is where Hojo apparently made that 'Vincent Valentine'," said Sephiroth, leaving out a number of details. "You should be quite amused with your subjects and your labs. I have other business."
"No doubt, no doubt," said Kefka, already making plans on what to do.
"What happened here?" asked Sailor Moon from her knees, looking around at the few remaining Senshi - all of whom bore signs of injury save herself and Saturn.
"so that was it," murmurred Pluto, slowly rising to her feet.
"So that was what?" asked Sailor Moon.
"One of the times I killed Ranma Saotome," said Sailor Pluto, her eyes unfocussed. "I used the stress on reality to open a path to Hell. I threw him in. They must have infected me at that point, tainted me, used me."
Saturn said nothing, but was listening very intently.
"So, this is all YOUR fault," said Sailor Moon.
"No, it's HIS fault," said Sailor Pluto. "If he just would stop turning up alive, none of this would have happened."
Saturn shifted her grip on her Glaive. Just a bit.
"There was a literal Hell?" asked Sailor Mars as she fingered a cut across her temple she didn't remember getting.
"Oh yes," said Sailor Pluto. "I'd learned of it. A prison for the worst of the worst. No exits from that hell. I thought if anything could get rid of him, that would be it."
Sailor Saturn's eyes tracked to Sailor Moon, addressing Pluto but watching Sailor Moon for her reaction. "So you put my sempai in this Hell dimension." She might not have been Ami's intellectual equal, but she had figured it out already. No exits, or a way of opening a door from the other side, but that didn't mean that someone opening an entry couldn't find something on the other side waiting for just such a chance.
"Who WERE those guys, I recognized Kefka from 'Final Fantasy VI'?" asked Sailor Mars.
"I know. Kefka from 'Final Fantasy VI'," said Venus. "Sephiroth from 'Final Fantasy VII', and -"
