Dragon Wives: Different Kind of Air-Mileage for Ranma [Episode 190442]

by Valor Phoenix

Encouraging Ranma to rest his head in her lap, Six was still concerned for the young human, yet she was giving him the space to chew on his own thoughts. At least for the moment that is, she was wanting to get some of his problems solved so he could be less troubled and therefor happier.

Ranma on the other hand was mulling over several thoughts. Too many thoughts in fact, and most of them troublesome and painful. It didn't take too long for him to decide this was getting him nowhere and he needed to clear his head so he could think straight. The problem was, he had a dragon that was currently a busty woman latched on to him that would likely interfere with such plans as the two dragons had taken over his life.

That of course lead Ranma to several thoughts, one of which was an escape of sorts. "Hey, you're a dragon right?"

Finding the question a bit curious, particularly as he was apparently merely seeking to confirm the fact, the chocolate colored woman nodded gently. "Yes Sire."

Still a bit unsure about what he was asking as he was unsure of their relationship, the young man ventured hesitantly forward. "Could we go flying for a bit?"

Smiling warmly now, the curvy woman was pleased with the idea on a number of levels as it would be personally enjoyable and allow her to share something with Ranma. It was even pleasing to have him ask her to do something for him. "Of course, is there somewhere you want to go?"

Standing up the young man looked around in consideration. "Uh, no, just maybe fly around for a while, rest somewhere, and get back in time for supper. Oh yeah, and can we do it without scaring half of Tokyo?"

Still smiling at the thought of him wanting to fly for the joy of it, plus the idea of finding a nice little natural spot to curl up in together for a bit, the dragon in womanly guise nodded. "Of course Sire, the humans will not see us."

In the amazon's pitiful little restaurant, the dragon known as Jane, formerly 38, looked up towards the sky over the park. Sensing something far more interesting going on, she completely dismissed the two conscious amazons. "It seems my lord has done something of interest. I will return later to finish this."

Contentedly riding atop the back of the platinum dragon, which is to say he was grinning like a kid, Ranma watched as Tokyo became merely a sprawling patch of civilization compared to the backdrop of mostly nature shrouded mountains.

It was somewhat of a concern when another platinum dragon joined up beside Six, but he figured this at least meant Jane wasn't causing trouble somewhere else.

In the meantime he was simply enjoying the experience, the wind being refreshing instead of a concern. He could after all under the correct conditions create and control hurricane force winds, so the winds of the flight were not a problem. Likewise unlike other people, he wasn't concerned by the fall as he could make sure he hit terminal velocity, which would mean he'd be going slow enough to survive the fall despite the height.

So for Ranma, dragon flight was a purely enjoyable experience, more so than the idea of being cooped up on some plane where he couldn't even feel the wind.

Unfortunately though, he couldn't really communicate with the dragons while they were flying. Well he knew at least that he couldn't understand them over the wind, but he wasn't sure if they could hear him.

Eventually though Six decided on a landing site as they only had so much time allotted for this little escape. The spot was well chosen too, the side of a mountain with a water fall and stream surrounded by plenty of forest with a clearing on one side of the stream.

Once there, Ranma hopped off his ride, quickly finding a dry ledge upon the cliff to sit on.

The tableau lasted for a moment as Ranma seemed content to relax on his perch on the cliff face as the dragons were likewise content to spend some time in their true forms. It didn't last long however as Six had been plagued by certain thoughts during the flight. "Jane, why haven't we used the enigma to turn him into a dragon?"

By the tone of the reply, the other dragon had apparently already considered it to some degree. "Well it was a while before we decided to stay with him. After seeing his human life though, it's come to mind."

Ranma had a number of protests come to mind at the casual talk of transforming him, but the two were making him inclined to be more diplomatic than normal. "Uhm, that thing can only make me a dragon?"

Six spoke up first as Jane wasn't sure about actually empowering the young man just yet. "No Sire, it has few limits on what you could become."

Seeing that Six was already spilling the beans and apparently firmly on Ranma's side, Jane was actually feeling a bit peeved. "Is there something wrong with becoming a dragon?"

For once Ranma wasn't thrown into a panic as he didn't have anything wrong with being a dragon per se. "No, just with you guys wanting to do it whether I like it or not. I'd kinda like the choice of if and what I turn into for once."

Surprised by the show of backbone, despite it being towards her, Jane felt her worries actually dissipate a bit. "Very well." It didn't take long however for her to get back into her Ranma teasing mood. "So what exactly do you want then?"

Ranma didn't answer immediately because he was actually giving the issue some thought. There were a number of dragon forms he was thinking about that he liked. They were western dragon types like his two 'wives', but they were all designed in Japan and thus had completely different styles. Things like various Bahumut designs from the Final Fantasy series for instance, plus a number of hybrid designs he'd seen. On the other hand though, he liked being human. If becoming a dragon meant becoming as uncaring for life as those two, he'd pass it up in a heart beat.

Also of consideration was how much it would change his life, largely for the better. If he was a dragon for instance, the engagements, running the dojo, and going to school would likely all become unimportant. On the other hand though, he didn't particularly like the idea of a massive power-up as it would make his art rather pointless.

Despite the conflicts involved, there were some compromises that came to mind. He had for instance an old video game where the main character in the fantasy RPG belonged to the Dragon Clan. He was essentially human with great strength and access to magic, but learned over time to turn into powerful dragon forms when needed. There were newer games in the series, but he'd only heard about them or briefly seen them. The last game in the series simply had him transforming into an essentially human shaped dragon. If he could somehow base it on that character idea though, he could ease into whatever powers he got instead of getting some instant power-up. Also, all things being equal, if what he chose was at least dragon related, it would likely appease his two demanding wives.

"Yeah, I might have some ideas."
