A spasm of white-hot pain lanced through his head...again. Random spikes of mystical energy were appearing throughout Snake Mountain and the master of the fortress, uniquely attuned to the mystical weaves in the very stone itself, felt each one like a spike through the skull.
"Confound it! What is that fool, Tri-Clops up to now!?" Skeletor stood from his bone throne and summoned his Havok Staff. The self-proclaimed 'Overlord of Evil' was on shaky ground ever since King Hiss and the Snake-Men escaped from the void. First he'd been swallowed by Hiss' stone cobra, then betrayed by Evil-Lynn, then threatened by Hordak, until Serpos itself rose from the hewn stone. His castle is various stages of disrepair, Skeletor was lying low for the time being until his full powers returned.
"Evil-Lynn! Evil-Lynn? Where could that traitorous woman be?" He passed the geothermic muck pool beside the throne. "Beast-Man! Stinkor! Where is everybody!?" Pinpricks of carmine light appeared in his darkened sockets. "They dare to ignore me?! I'll show them the price for tardiness."
Another powerspike brought an emaciated hand to his cowled head.
"Ugh. After...I find out what these blasted headaches are about."
Through a winding hall he descended until he reached the entrance to the catacombs. Stinkor's bruised and insensate body greeted him. A hole opened to the prison areas.
"Fool. What is going on here!? Beast-Man? Tri-Clops? Evil-Lynn?" No answer came from the dark tunnels. "It seems like I have to do everything around here...hmm. Wait just a moment...THE MASTERS! Of course! They must be somewhere in the catacombs looking to free that red-haired female we took from that simpering prince's bed."
Skeletor's eyes blazed red. He blasted Stinkor out of his way with his staff and drew his double-bladed sword.
"If Randor and his bumbling friends think they can enter my domain and escape unscathed, they're about to learn how wrong they are!" The lich's cloak flapped behind as he ran headlong into the darkness.
