Ranma flew through the crack in the stone wall and into a large circular room seemingly lit by a massive opening in the floor. Tall stone snakes arched over the glowing portal to the VOID, serving as a warning of what lay within. The Terran martial artist paid no attention to that, though, as he landed painfully on the protective shield and bounced face-first into a wall.
Getting up with a groan he felt the back of his head. No blood, no harm. He didn't feel like he had a concussion so he felt reasonably sure there was no lasting damage. Silently he looked about the impressive chamber.
"Must've cost a pretty penny," he thought, "dunno what the magic forcefield's for over there but I should probably stay away from it..."
His current nudity didn't particularly bother him at the moment since there wasn't anyone around to look and the chamber felt warm, the air slightly moist. Like a womb.
So intent was he on investigating the strange room that he didn't register the appearance of two shady figures at another opening in the concave wall.
Until the taller of the two spoke.
"If it isn't my better half! So very nice to see you, Ranma, so sorry you have to leave!" Faker raised his staff and blasted Ranma with a purple bolt.
Ranma felt the heat splash across his body. When the torrent ended he looked down. His skin was just a little red. "That didn't hurt at all!"
Faker looked down at his staff and then at Evil-Lynn. "Apparently so. He's immune to me since I'm a part of him. Oh well." The fusion leaped down to the wide walkway around the VOID and dashed towards the martial artist.
Ranma's brow furrowed but a smile spread across his cheeks. If this stooge thought he could beat Ranma Saotome in hand-to-hand combat he had another thing coming.
The pair met with a clash, a barrier of opposed mystical and life energy springing to life where their fists made contact. Each dodged and blocked the other's moves, anticipating the next attack on instinct.
Evil-Lynn stood back and watched the two brawl. Her estimation of the strange human from 'Urth' shot up when he held his own against the amalgam. Perhaps he would be an ally when the time came to turn against Faker? It didn't hurt that he shared the vindictive creature's physique.
