Akane believed that the first day of school was going very badly. She had gone into the furo to have a bath, or would have had Ranma not been there already.
FWOP!
A plunger was stuck to her face causing her to stumble backwards closing the door with her (as she was still holding onto the handle). She struggled with the tool adhered to her head before giving up and trying to find Kasumi - not an easy task considering that she couldn't see.
Now she had to go to school and face the Hentai Horde all on her own too.
Despite Akane's interruption of his morning bath, Ranma was having a good day. Before the first bell rang, he was spending time with Nabiki, watching her run her betting ring. Ryouga was causing more than a few stares as he helped keep track of who placed what bet. Who knew that beneath that thick skull was a rather apt mathematician? His only problem was that he was unable to stay in school long enough to learn anything after Ranma had left.
Speaking of Ranma, more than a few girls were eyeballing him and probably making plans about how to net him after Nabiki "inevitably grew tired of him". More than most guys were snickering at his pink hair and rabbit ears. Ranma didn't care. Well, maybe he did, but he had yet heard anything with his large ears that made him angry, much less angry enough to attack someone. Oh, if they only knew how volatile he really was as compared to before... Well, none of them remembered before. And Ranma hadn't remembered to tell Nabiki about all the stuff that had happened... but there would be time for that later.
For now, Ranma could hear Akane and the Hentai Horde going at it.
"Hey, Nabiki-chan."
Nabiki blinked, not used to being addressed with the honorific of "chan", but she decided to just go with it.
"Yes, Ranma-san?"
"How about I make your betting ring a lot more interesting?"
"How so?"
"That guy in the tree seems to be stronger than all the other trash out there..."
"Kuno Tatewaki? He's a kendoist."
"I kinda figured with the bokken and all... Are there any bets that say he'll lose to anyone but Akane?"
"No."
"I'll whip him then."
With that, Ranma leapt out the window.
Akane was panting and pissed off that Kuno decided to appear.
"Akane-san, the fierce tigress, I would date you!"
"Kuno-baka, I would fight you!" declared Ranma.
"What!? Who is this commoner that he should dare speak to me!?"
"I am-"
"Hold. Is it not customary to introduce oneself first!?"
Twitch. Ranma was pissed.
"You are Kuno Tatewaki, upperclassmen, self-proclaimed Blue Thunder of Furinkan High School, and self-proclaimed 'Rising Star' of the kendo world."
Kuno blinked - this pink-haired freak had predicted exactly what he was going to say. The student body was stunned that this newcomer was talking back to the insane rich boy. Even Akane didn't say anything, but that was only because she had yet to pick her jaw up from the lawn. Nabiki was speechless due to the fact that she hadn't told him much about Kuno. She was going to have to talk with him about this fact later.
"Now for my introduction: Saotome Ranma, of the Saotome School of Anything Goes. I am engaged to Tendo Nabiki and if anyone has any objections they can take it up with her. And I will fight you simply for the fun of it!"
Akane had finally found her voice.
"Ranma! Stay out of this! It isn't your business!"
"Yes it is. I want to have some fun. So there."
Ranma charged putting Kuno on guard. But before Kuno could react, he suddenly had a coconut-custard creme pie in his face.
The student body was stunned again. A pie in the face? Followed by a thorough beating with a herring? Did this newcomer have some sort of food-based fighting style?
Somewhere in the world, Kuonji Ukyou sneezed.
