Integra had decided to take a break from work and take Ranma to the park today so that the two of them could have some quiet and private family time. True, she and Ranma did play with Seras or Alucard around a lot but it wasn't the same in Integra's mind as true mother/son time. She had never gotten a lot of time with her father because of his work and Integra was determined never to let Ranma experience the loneness that she had experinced growing up before taking control of Hellsing. Thus at least once or twice a month Integra had made sure that she and Ranma had a day to themselves. Currently she was pushing her rambunctious little boy on a swing in an empty section of the park with a smile on both her and Ranma's faces.
Ranma was truly a blessing from God in Integra's mind and she loved him with all her heart. With Ranma she could be Integra the mother or Integra the young lady that she couldn't be as leader of Hellsing; which was a secret wish in her in her heart since her father died. Just thinking about the stunts Ranma pulled in 'training' put a smile on her face. Her little boy was going to be a force to reckon with when he grew up. Already he was able to hold his own in physical combat with one or two of the combat instructors that Hellsing employed and his mind was sharp when it came to any form of a challenge.
Integra's musings were interrupted but an obnoxious laughter coming from the woods near the swing set she and Ranma were currently out. Moving closer to protect Ranma Integra saw six punks come out of the woods. A chill ran down her spine as she gazed on the punks; something about them scared her more than a legion of FREAK vampires. suddenly on of them spoke in a deep unnatural voice. "Finally the seal barer has been found, Earl Barbatos will be pleased with us. Rejoice woman, when we kill you and your child the seal on the gates of Hell will be broken and Astaroth shall be free to burn this world to ashes."
This statement enraged Integra even as it also sent fear through her heart; fear for the life of her son and rage that someone would DARE try and hurt her little boy. Pulling out her Walther PPK Ingetra put herself in front of Ranma and shot each of the six punks in the head right between the eyes. Seeing the bullets bounce off of the punks' skulls instead of killing thing Integra turned to Ranma and yelled. "GET OUT OF HEAR RANMA! Go and find Auntie Seras or Uncle Alucard; they'll protect you!"
Ranma hesitated for only a second as he wanted to stay and help protect his mother. However he could feel the demonic power rolling off those six people. Each was only slightly less powerful than Herb and been and Ranma under no elusions that he might be able to fight them as he currently was. So with a heavy heart Ranma took off running towards the family estate to go find Alucard or Seras to have them help Integra.
Ranma stopped in his tracks less than a hundred meters away when he heard the one punk speak again. "Stupid whore, do you really think that you can stop us from killing the seal bearer thus freeing Astaroth?" With that the punk pulled out a switch-blade knife and charged at Integra. Although Integra was a world-class fencer, she didn't have a sword in her hand at the moment or the unarmed training for such a situation. Thus the punk was able to get through her guard and bury his blade in Integra's chest.
"MOM!!!" Ranma screamed out in despair as he saw Integra fall to the ground bleeding profusely. "I w-won't l-let you g-get away with THIS!" Ranma screamed out in rage as something within him snapped. Integra was EVERYTHING Ranma had ever wanted as a mother. Even in his past life all he wanted was to have a mother like her and now she was dieing. She was dieing because some over powered punks wanted to kill him for some reason and this infuriated Ranma. How dare someone try to kill such a loving mother or powerful leader and his mother had been. If these punks were going to try and kill him; well he just have to seen them to hell!
Ranma's cries for vengeance and power awoke something within himself that had been sleeping since his birth. Ranma's yokai awoke in answer to its bearer's call. bleeding on the ground Integra turned see Ranma's face overcome with rage. She then saw her little boy let out a primal scream as he became covered in a red glow rendering him an indistinct black shape. looking at her attackers Integra noticed them seeming to show fear.
After what seemed like an eternity to Integra but was only in instant the glow surrounding Ranma stopped. Integra nearly choked when she saw the changes that had happened to Ranma. His hair had gone from it's usual black to white and was down to his rear. His face was slightly more angular and his eyes were silted like a cat's. She also saw the traces of woad blue tattoos or something like them that were mostly covered by his clothes. In a slightly deeper voice than Integra usually heard came out of the mouth of her little boy Integra hear Ranma utter to the punks. "For killing my mother I'll send you all to HELL!!"
