Devil at Hogwarts: Early Conversations [Episode 191976]

by Disruptor

Before anything further could be said, Vernon had returned home with a very shaken Dudley. He saw Harry and his face purpled in anger.

"Boy, why didn't you help Dudley?" Vernon bellowed.

Akira stepped between Vernon and Harry and started at Vernon with a smirk on his face.

"He didn't have time. I stepped in and killed the Wights. I need to talk to him and find out what's going on," Akira said.

An owl swooped in through the open front door and dropped a piece of paper in front of Harry. Harry opened the paper and looked in confusion at it.

"I didn't use any magic. Why do I have to appear at court?" Harry muttered.

"And that explains something," Akira said in amusement. "It looks like your Ministry of Magic was trying to set you up to be killed or to break the law against using magic, so they could chuck you into prison on the flimsiest excuse. Too bad for them, I was in the area. Mister Dursley, if you have vacation time, you might want to use it and leave for a while or try to be transferred to a job away from the United Kingdom. If the government itself is endangering your life, get away from the country."

Vernon stared at Akira in shock for a moment. His anger faded to fear and then gave a nod.

"You're right. I do have a month of vacation time built up. I could use that and hope," Vernon said.

Dudley was staring at the bag with the Dementor corpses inside and was shaking in horror. Akira shook his head.

"Leave the bag alone. I'm going to need it later. If you want some way in fighting Wights, or the other name Dementors, a weapon of cold iron will hurt them. I don't know if throwing salt in their face will do anything or not. I have no need of either. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk to Harry alone for a bit. You might want to leave for the rest of the night and plan elsewhere," Akira said. "I have the feeling that we'll be gone before the night is up and you might not want to be here."

Dudley shivered a bit and quickly headed for his room. Vernon stared hard at Akira for a moment.

"Are you one of those freaks?" Vernon asked.

"A wizard that studied at a magical school? No. I am a freak of magic though," Akira replied. "It's going to cause so many headaches for the so-called International Confederation of Wizards."

"So-called?" Vernon asked.

"Thirteen European countries that decide the fate of magic over the entire world. Back in 1692, each wizard performed a human sacrifice of thirteen magical babies, mainly taken from South America and Africa, to impose and enforce the 1692 Secrecy Act world-wide. Although, it doesn't cover every type of magic there is. I could use my magic all day long and the various detection spells wouldn't pick it up."

With that Akira turned and followed Harry up to his room. Vernon stared in shock and horror at Akira's back, as the words sank in. Vernon glanced at Petunia and gave a sharp nod. He was going to take his family, sans Harry, and spend the night at his sister's house. After the two of them entered Harry's room, Akira took a glance around and shook his head.

"You are joking about the International Confederation of Wizards did, aren't you?" Harry asked.

"No. They think they're rulers of the world and that everyone should bow down before them and their infinite wisdom and thus the spell of sacrifice of thirteen times thirteen babies," Akira replied.

Harry looked sick. "How could they...?"

"Because it was African and Aztec and American Indian babies at the time. They didn't think they were real humans, but they were useful for human sacrifice," Akira replied with a dismissive gesture. "They then tried to bury the information, so the spell could not be broken. However, it is going to get broken soon."

"How?"

Akira grinned and Harry felt uneasy. "If I told you, you'd think I was completely insane and mistaken. It has something to do with my former best friend Ryo Asuka."

"Former best friend?"

"Yes. I fell in love with a girl by the name of Miki Makiruna and Ryo became insanely jealous and had some agents of his kill her. I only managed to recover her decapitated head and cremated it after saying my good-byes at a temple. Before you ask, cremation is the standard funeral practice in Japan. Oh, look more owls."

Harry turned and saw a couple of owls flying through the window. Harry quickly read the letter and his eyes widened.

"They know you're here and not to trust you," Harry said.

"Look. If I wanted to kill you, I would kill you and you couldn't stop me. Do you know the Patronus Charm?"

Harry nodded.

"Do you know how to make it explosive?"

"Er...what?"

"There are two forms of the charm. One is to drive off Wights and the like via an animal made out of silvery energy. That version is more useful for large groups. The other version is to focus it down into a ball of energy, looking somewhat like a silver gem, and is fired at a high speed into the target. It then it explodes in the shape of the animal that you use and will tear a Wight or Dementor apart and then dissipates," Akira replied. "Now getting back on topic, you can kill maybe one Wight per minute. I can tear through more than a dozen in a minute."

Harry stared in Akira in shock. "I never heard you could do that with the Patronus Charm."

"There are reasons you haven't, but that's not important. Right now what is important is dealing with your trial. Bets are that they will change the trial date at the last minute, so that you will miss it. The easiest way to deal with this is to head straight for the Ministry from here and be early. Gather your stuff."

"You are paranoid," Harry said, but did as Akira suggested.

"I have good reason to be," Akira replied and looked around. "Where's your owl? I see a cage, but no owl."

"I sent Hedewig to try and get an answer to some questions, but I haven't been getting any response," Harry replied.

"Ah, the stupid lie. What you don't know, can't hurt you," Akira said. "Probably that Dumbledore's handiwork. The truth is what you don't know could very well kill you or someone close to you."

"Is that why I'm not told anything?" Harry asked.

"I don't know. I don't know what this Dumbledore is like in person, so I can't make a guess to his motives," Akira said with a shrug. "Have you got everything?"

Harry tossed a few more items into his trunk and nodded. "That's the last of it, save the cage."

Akira took the cage and it quickly shrank and he tossed it into the trunk.

"Just tap it on the top three times and it will expand. It requires body heat and a magical signature to activate. I'll grab the Wight corpses and we'll be off. By the way, do you know a way to get to the Ministry?"

"No. I...wait. Maybe the Knight Bus, but I'll have to use magic to summon it."

"So you have to use magic to go to a trial for using magic? Cute. Well, if that is the only option, we'll use it."

Akira grabbed the bag of Dementor corpses and was followed by Harry, who was dragging his trunk along behind him. Akira gave a nod and Harry held up his wand and cast a light spell through it. The Knight Bus appeared and the two of them boarded the bus.

"Greetings. Where can I take you?" The bus driver said.

"Director of Magical Law Enforcement," Akira replied and pointed at Harry. "He has an upcoming trial for using magic, even though he didn't use any. What is in the bag is proof of his innocence. He had to use magic to summon this bus of yours and it will probably be used against him in the trial."

"That's wrong," a man, Stan Shrupike as Harry recalled, stated.

Akira shrugged. "Any magic used was mine until this was bus was summoned. I think it was attempted murder and since it failed, they are trying to chuck him into prison."

"It'll be a bit before we get there," the bus driver said.

"And probably, the trial will be moved up quite a bit, so he misses the trial," Akira said. "Thus proving my theory is correct. Let's go we can talk on the way. Keep that letter, Harry. We can use it as proof."

The Knight Bus headed for the area where the office of Amelia Bones was located. On the way, Harry did a quick recap of his life so far. Akira just shook his head getting a bit sick with the sheer stupidity of Wizarding Britain.
