"I am?" her brother asked, blinking at her in surprise. "Why'd this come up?"
"Simple. I've finally managed to find you again, and I'm not planning on letting you get lost again, just so that I can wait until you decide that you can wander back into my life."
"You want to keep track of me."
"If nothing else, that's enough of a reason," the blonde stated easily, seeing no reason to not go with her reasoning.
"That's all great for you, but have you forgotten. You're supposed to be working with me to help me like you say you would," Sakura grumbled, shooting a sour glance at her 'partner'.
"I know that."
"Then why are you planning on leaving with your brother?"
Folding her arms over her chest, Temari lowered her chin and closed her eyes as if she felt that the question was beneath the need to answer. "Who said anything about leaving you? I mean, I just want to hang onto my brother, someone who got screwed over by our father, just like the rest of our family. That doesn't mean that I'm looking to run off at the next opportunity."
"Oh."
"I do have to wonder about you, you know that?"
"Well, excuse me. It's just that you didn't exactly make yourself clear, you know," the pink haired kunoichi muttered, turning away from her companion. "But you know what? I think that I should have someone come with us too."
"Is that so?"
Sakura reached out and yanked Ranma by the arm to stand next to her. "He's going to be coming with us. From what he told me, the Hokage helped train him, and he knows about the villages. That makes him either a big help, or someone that I want to keep an eye on."
"Fine by me."
"Really?"
"Sure. If you want to bring your boyfriend along, that's perfectly okay...." the blonde kunoichi commented, shrugging slightly as she spoke.
"Who said that he was my boyfriend?!"
"That's what it looks like. You cling to him enough. Of course, I thought that this was supposed to be a trip to help you find a way to locate your other boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend!" the medic-nin yelped.
"Which one? Sasuke, or this guy?"
"Grr...."
"Do ya have the feeling that we're being left out of this talk?" Ranma asked the other guy there.
Ryoga sighed and hung his head. "Trust me. We certainly are."
"Who asked you?!" both girls barked at the boys.
"Scary," the two boys murmured as they shot the girls nervous smiles.
"Humph. In any case, we're agreed then. We keep together. The four of us seem to have something going on that looks pretty good right now," Sakura put forward, sending a measuring glance towards the others.
"Seems okay to me," Temari agreed. She didn't know what was coming their way, and the more allies that she had, the better it'd be. "And it wouldn't be too much of a problem to bring a boyfriend, if you wanted to."
"Then why don't you bring yours?"
"Eh?"
Smirking, the pink haired girl looked at the blonde. "You know who I mean. Shikimaru, remember?"
"We're not dating!"
"Looked like you were close...."
"Our... relationship isn't like that," Temari growled, glaring at the other kunoichi.
"Well, looks can be deceiving...."
"Exactly."
"After all, it looked like you were trying to keep your distance from him...."
Growling under her breath, Temari tried to come up with something to say, but Sakura had already turned away, as if her attention had shifted elsewhere. Because of that, the moment was lost, and she was left unable to give a good comeback to the other ninja. This wasn't exactly a pleasant thing, but she didn't want to dwell on a simple teasing.
But it had gotten her brother to look at her with questioning eyes. "You have a boyfriend?"
"Argh...." Ryoga's sister grunted, scowling with annoyance, while:
