Rather, she had an urge to go see another girl.
Considering the fact that the girl in question lived many days travel away, that wasn't going to be an easy thing. In fact, she had never even met her, and knew very little about who this 'Ukyo' person was. And yet, she really wanted to see her.
With a derisive laugh at herself, the Amazon girl had to admit to just why it was so important to her to have this meeting, and it was all due to that pigtailed boy from the incident at the tournament. That day had been a triumph... until that big fat fool had gone and acted like he knew what he was doing. Between eating from her victory feast and making those inane pronouncements, he'd turned himself into a big joke.
Had that boy not been there, she might have simply given in to beating on the older man. However, he'd acted as a buffer, and she had to wonder why this pigtailed stranger seemed to be in a similar state to her. Not that he was looking to be with her in any way shape or form. Shampoo knew that she was quite attractive, and that wasn't merely pride talking, but he hadn't exactly paid much attention to her, other than to be nervous.
This boy's focus was solely on the girl that he spoke of, which said volumes about how dedicated he was to her. Despite being thousands of miles away, with no way for her to know about it, he was not even trying to leer at another girl. It was as if he couldn't see anyone else, and found the idea of betraying her to be repugnant.
Crossing her arms under her large breasts, Shampoo wondered about what sort of person could bring forth such loyalty from an obvious free spirit like that. Could she be a loving and caring individual who could comfort another with a simple word, or was she some cruel mistress who was so willing to mete out pain that a man would be foolish to cross her? The purple haired girl didn't know the answer to that, and knew that she wouldn't find out the answer by staying at home.
Besides, it'd give her an excuse to get out for a while and see how she fared in the outside world.
"Shampoo, come, run off with me!" declared a rather battered looking Mousse.
A scowl pinched the Amazon girl's pretty features, and she blew out a breath of disgust. "I am leaving, but it isn't with you, you damned idiot."
"What? But where would you go if you weren't with me?"
"Actually, I was thinking of tracking the trail of that boy who came during the tournament."
"Which tournament? There are... you can't mean that one with the pigtail!"
"And what if I am?" she asked, deceptively soft in tone.
"Then you can't go! He's not the man that you need! Not when I'm right...."
She slapped him on the back of the head so hard that he stumbled forward. "Who I go out with isn't any concern of yours! Besides, I'm not going to look to date him."
"You're not?" Mousse murmured, hope shining in his eyes and voice... as he faced a tree.
"I thought that your hearing wasn't as bad as your eyes clearly are. No, I'm not going to try to date someone like that. As far as I understand, he's already married!"
"Then why go after him?"
"Other than he's a really good fighter? Well, it could be that I'm looking... to meet his wife!" she snapped at him.
"You are?"
"And people wonder why you don't get other girls interested in you. Yes, I want to meet this 'Ukyo' girl of his to see what sort of person she is. She has to be something special to get an Outsider male that interested in her. Maybe we can be friends. Perhaps we can be rivals in the Art. But she's different than most, and I want to see how that works."
"Oh, I see. Well then, I suppose that I could let you go...."
This time, Shampoo just smashed her fist into the top of his head, and be flattened to the ground by the force of her blow. Whether or not he gave her his permission didn't matter to her, since she didn't particularly care about what he wanted from her. About all that she wanted him to do in regards to her was to leave her the hell alone, and hopefully that would happen very soon.
Of course, she hadn't told him that even if she wasn't looking to try her romantic luck with the pigtailed boy, he certainly appealed to the woman in her. He was the sort of guy that she liked, as he was strong, skilled, and obsessing over her. Now, even though she would have loved it if he left his wife and had come to her, the idea of doing that to another woman disgusted her. But if an area could produce one boy like him, then perhaps there might be others she just had to meet.
Her smile was clear and pleased as she recognized that, at the very least, she could get the sort of man that she would like if she went on this trip, while:
